USED C63 V. E63 DEBATE AGAIN YOUR THOUGHTS
I know it comes down to personal preference and what you plan to do with the car, but that aside out of these 2 scenarios would you say is the best bang for the buck. If you do not mind can you please elaborate why you picked one over the other.... Thanks

SUPER (have to emphasis) Clean
2007 E63 with 27,000 Has every option except for the P30/P31 Performance Packages... for $32,000 USD

or
Clean (not super clean)
2008-2010 C63
50-70k Miles
Price Ranges $34-$39,000
The C63 data above is what I have found in my area currently for sale...

I'd get the e63, it's a E class and the build quality compared to the prefl c63 is better imo.
Lower mileage and cheaper for a higher class car? Why not?

get the E if you plan to have real people in the back seat regularly. The E has airmatic which rides much software but struts go out every 3-5yrs, and the compressor. All the e's electronics cost more, and there are more of them to go wrong. The 63 isnt all that flattering in the E. The 63 motor isn't massively torquey and you can feel the weight of the car alot more. If you were dead set on an E, personally i'd get a e55 over an e63. find a super clean one... headers, pulley, tune, heat exchanger. The c63 is much lighter and edgy. It's a much larger step away from luxury and into performance more like the M series of bmw. All the cars will get similar gas mileage. The C63's transmission is alot more snappier in comparison to the E also.

Have fun repairing the airmatic suspension on that E63 out of warranty. I think my dad's was like $2200/corner to fix! I'd get the C63 as it's the driver's car.

You could always change out your air suspension to coilovers. Just so you know.

your dad got ripped off.

even from the dealer the struts are only about $1,000 each, and there are several high quality alternatives for far less money.

Get a 2010 E63. Updated styling and electronics and the interior fit and finish is superior to th C63.
You may have to spend a little more, but you will make it up on the backside with less depreciation.

I'd definitely go with the 2010+ E63 as well as it has an updated interior (comparable to 2012+ C63) and also the updated MCT transmission. The 2012+ e63 also has the 5.5 V8, but they're still pretty expensive. I don't think you'll see less depreciation though - the newer the AMG the bigger the depreciation.

USED C63 V. E63 DEBATE AGAIN YOUR THOUGHTS-20140622_125846_zpscd3f3817.jpg
c63 is fast and very nimble and beautiful. interior is little cheap and small compare to the w211 E class.

if you like a 2007 e63 I would highly recommend to get the a E55 from 2005 or 2006 for much much less and add after market e63 styling. doesn't cost much at all. its pretty much the same car with more power and tq. good luck with your search, either way you cant go wrong.

He had it done by MB under extended warranty. That's including labor. So he didn't really get ripped off

IMHO the front end on that gen E63 is ugly as hell. It looks ancient.

C63 still looks fresh as fk. People won't call you grandpa

I mean, depends on your age too. I'm 20, so I love having a more sporty/new looking AMG, but if you're middle aged and you want a bigger/more comfortable executive class. Go for the E.

E63 hands down!

I owned a 2008 E63 prior to my current C63...the build quality and overall luxury touches inside and out was much better in the E63.

If you want a "racer-boy" car, then the C63 is for you, but if you want that luxury sedan with performance then the E63 is the way to go.

Hope this helps

Then isn't the E63 the easiest choice for you to make? The E has more interior room for the back passengers if you have more than one client at a time. Both the C/E can be racer-boy on the weekend, but the C cannot revert to client driving unless you want to squish them in the back.

You are in a tough spot if you like the looks of the C. Way sportier! I would pick the C just because its sexy and noisy despite being an s-class fan.

I am a bit confused as to how someone could find themselves torn between (2) such opposite ends of the spectrum cars.

For me the E class was never in the cards.
I have a company vehicle so hauling my clients never takes place in my car. If they had, the C class wouldn't have made the cut.
I personally enjoy higher end luxury brand name sports cars. I also find that I am drawn more towards sedans than coupes as I feel the sedans, when modded, appear far more aggressive than coupes.
