Blind Spot Warning Issue
Hello all,
Last night I noticed that the triangle on the rear view mirrors (both) was not active. Then it came on and went off again a short time later. Probably a loose wire and hopefully that is all it is. Has anyone had this occur and, if so, is this a dealer only fix item or does anyone know how to trace the wiring for this? This car is mostly a black box to me as I can't find a factory manual for it. Kind of frustrating because I'm used to doing at least some of the work on my own cars.

Triangle only lights up when you are:
1. Traveling more than X mph (20?) AND
2. have somebody in your blind spot
For owners manual, try the link below. For shop manual, I think you are SOL.

Edit - I think it's ALWAYS on when you're going slower than the trigger speed. Once above the trigger speed, it turns off unless there's someone in your blind spot.

Actually, in my 2014 the light is dark <20mph, then yellow if >20mph and nothing in blind spot. If >20mph and something in blind spot then red, and if your turn signal is on then it beeps and flashes IIRC.

Below or < 20 mph the indicator is yellow and over or >20 mph it's off unless a vehicle is in your blind spot at which time it's red.

yup, definitely do that too, but the blind spot warning is pretty awesome, IMO. The blind spot in the C63 is pretty significant, even with your mirrors set correctly, and so I think it's a huge help. Still gotta be aware, of course, but I think much of the tech is a big safety bonus and help.
