Blind Spot Warning Issue

Last night I noticed that the triangle on the rear view mirrors (both) was not active. Then it came on and went off again a short time later. Probably a loose wire and hopefully that is all it is. Has anyone had this occur and, if so, is this a dealer only fix item or does anyone know how to trace the wiring for this? This car is mostly a black box to me as I can't find a factory manual for it. Kind of frustrating because I'm used to doing at least some of the work on my own cars.

1. Traveling more than X mph (20?) AND
2. have somebody in your blind spot
For owners manual, try the link below. For shop manual, I think you are SOL.

Edit - I think it's ALWAYS on when you're going slower than the trigger speed. Once above the trigger speed, it turns off unless there's someone in your blind spot.

Below or < 20 mph the indicator is yellow and over or >20 mph it's off unless a vehicle is in your blind spot at which time it's red.
