Parked Next to a New Cadillac XTS Last Night - Options...?

Now, this car (Cad XTS) does not intrigue me at all, but man did it make my car look like crap sitting next to it.
The C63 is starting to look old to me. I guess I shouldn't say "starting", it has for a while now.

Options:
- Sell the C63 and buy something with newer styling
OR
- Freshen up the AMG

Could always go with; facelift mirrors, different fog lights (I think you can get facelift retrofit kits... anyone have insight here?), maybe a 507 hood or something...?
I don't want to get into headlights and bumper, but is there anything else we can do to just freshen the car up a bit?

What are your thoughts on this?

HA! Well you can always do a facelift with new bumper covers, mirrors steering wheel etc.. but you will never outshine the new models.
We know for a fact that W204 is getting old. One of the reason we have a W205 available now!lol!
But how is that XTS exhaust sound, torque, acceleration etc...? If you enjoy your car for what it is I think modding it with bits and pieces here and there should make you happy. Otherwise you still have the option of getting a new one .

I was thinking along the same lines. I was just super annoyed after seeing the two cars side by side.
I went from feeling like I had the sickest car in the parking lot, to mehhh, she doesn't look so good right now. lol
Like I said, Im not interested in the caddy at all, but I def feel like I need an upgrade of some sorts after seeing that thing next to me.

I always said I bought this car to keep it, but now Im starting to wonder....

HA! Those shifters are the least of my worries.
I am sure I could get a good bit of my money back from my mods and put it towards mods for my next toy.....
That's the nice thing about having somewhat of a rare car, when mods go up for sale, they don't typically last long on forums.

In all honesty.... I still think the W204 is the best looking AMG right now. I love it, everything about it. I know a lot of people think it looks weird but I have always thought the pre-facelift W204s (mines a 2010 so i got the new side mirrors) have looked the best. I like the new 205s and all but the motor kills it for me. I also value the cars performance over looks, so that may be something.

Don't fall for the "new and pretty" gimmick. You have a certified beast sitting in your garage. This will be the last of the massive-displacement V8's (if the EPA gets its way) and I think will be a sought after car in future years. I mean, it shares a damn motor, for the most part, with the SLS!

the body style might be looking a little old since it's been the same for quite a while but personally i kind of like it because it enhances that sleeper feel.

its all personal preference , I cannot stand those sharp lines on the caddy's but i like the look of the benz and bmw's

I agree with this assessment, I still think the 2010-2011 C63's look the best. The face lift cars are fine, just not much of a change. And the new Caddy, I think it really looks dated, I'm not impressed at all. I've never liked the star wars styling.

Some people have to have the latest and greatest and that's fine, it's just not me. I'll keep my C63 at least 10 years, maybe longer.

I have very bad news for you....

But first, I want to say that I had to search on Google for a picture of an XTS. I didn't know what it looked like.

This is one ugly car.

That being said, the bad news is, when you start looking at ugly cars and think that they look better than yours (that looks 10 times better actually), it only means one thing, you're tired of your car.

Most humans will get bored of the same things and want to change for the sake of it. So if that's your case, start shopping around.

However, if you really think the XTS is a good looking car, start shopping around for a good eye specialist. Then you'll realize how much better the C63 looks and all is well with the world once again.

Honestly, the XTS is a seriously boring looking car.

of course this is all up to personal preferences, but I agree that the w204 is looking old, but it IS old. nothing wrong with old. I think my c63 looks badass every time I look at it. having said that, I may look into the w205 in the next few years, but for now, I'm still in the honeymoon stage. been that way since day one.

I hope im not tired of my car... have had it for just about a year now. If I were tired of it, that would be a new record for me, most cars last 2 years before I put them on the launch pad.
Not sure I meant to lead all on to think I like the Caddy better in the looks department, as I don't.
I am merely stating that it made mine look old due to the newer designs some manufacturers tend to be heading toward.

This comment actually made me feel really good.
"nothing wrong with old", this is a valid point.

In fact, I see the C63 as a classic.

Newer design are just that, the new flavor of the day. The C63 will remain an icon.

How many cars has Chris Harris actually made a tribute to as the car reached its final production year? As far as I know, only 1, the C63. That's says a lot about our car.

Guys! Read my very first post!
I am not intrigued by the XTS, I merely felt as though the new-ness brought mine down a bit! That's all! I don't like the style either! Lmao.
