The biggest issue my friends and I have with Continentals are their super soft sidewalls. They are really prone to sidewall bubbles. Other than that, I actually like how they perform.

I dont feel like the 5Ps give me as much feedback as my Bridgestone SO4s. Feel is very important in a car of this type IMO. I couldnt feel as much on track and that reduced my confidence during cornering. Was I faster or slower? I dont know. But it was less enjoyable for me. Regardless, my next set will be PSS. And I do NOT regret having 1.5 (1 front set, 2 rear sets) of SO4s. Great bargain

3rd in Straight Aquaplaning, 5th in Curved Aquaplaning. Here's a interesting factoid - the Hankook finished 2nd in both aquaplaning tests but 9th in Wet handling (times) and 10th in Wet Handling (subjective).

Too bad the Michelin PSS was not in the test... Loving my set over stock Contis or previous set of Hankook V12 I had.

The Continental ExtremeContact DW tires I'm running now are the best summer tires I've ever used on the C63 (I've also used the ContiSportContact 5Ps and Michelin PSS).
Dry grip is good, wet grip is great, and the ride is smooth and quiet.

All of these have got to be better than these pos nexen the dealer put on mine, I'm either upgrading wheels to get new tires or going to just burn these out fast.
I was set on pss but based on pride and the testing I may go conti

I am quite pleased with my Advan sports.
The tires are extremely sticky, Wet conditions is another story. However for a summer performance tire I couldn't ask for more. Hook up was great, of course my only gripe is that they are done in just about 11,000 KM. Time to replace the rears, I may just have to Try out the AD08's.
Thanks for the post OP.

rentzington - Note that the EVO Mag testing above was on a Michelin Pilot Sport, not a Pilot SUPER Sport.
I don't know how much of the difference was due to the tire design and how much was due to just replacing old tires with new ones, but I felt a night and day difference when I replaced my old OEM Conti's with MPSS. The TC light almost never comes on now and that PITA throttle cut-back when sensing even a tiny bit of tire slip almost never happens any more. I was resigned to having to put in a limited slip, but don't really feel the need to any more.

"It was brave of Yokohama to put this forward for the test and the gamble paid off. We knew it wouldn't perform brilliantly in the wet, but in the dry the Yokohama was sensational around the track and it performed well on the road too. as a trackday tyre that you could drive every day, it was impressive."

Summation of the Conti's performance:
"There can be absolutely no doubt about our victor this year. With four wins and only twice dropping out of the top three it was a simply brilliant performance across the board (or proving ground). Whenever I got in the car with the Contis on, it proved a joy to drive, combining feedback with fantastic grip to give supreme confidence. It's a worthy winner."

I have PSS on my AMG 245/265, although when replaced will go 235/265
I had Conti sc5 on my RS4
Honestly both great tires
The pss a bit better in the dry, the conti better in the wet
But in reality equal, niether could be used anywhere near their limit on public roads
Guess my butt isn't calibrated enough lol
I bet although the tires are ranked the results are very close
Bhamg can you post the numbers for wet braking? Or anything actually
Thanks

The wet braking test was from 80kph down to 20kph. The Conti posted a best distance of 25.06m, the last place tire was a little over 4m behind.
WET BRAKING (as % performance of winner)) 10th-1st

So 4th place is 1.25 m or 4' longer
Really not much when reaction time is factored in
Big drop to 5th though
If not too sick of typing how about the dry?
