Mode Carbon Carbon 507 Hood
Hey all,
Just installed the vented carbon 507 style hood from Mode Carbon on my 2011 sedan.
Sharing some photographs for people who are interested.
Top notch quality and Nicholas at Mode Carbon was a great guy to work with

MBWorld Fanatic!
I have no question that hood is of the best quality and fitment money can buy.
Having said that, a cf hood in bare form has no business on a white car IMHO. The lines by the fenders are far to definitive and creates way too much contrast... for my liking of course.
Props for getting the hood, but I believe on white it would look far better painted color match on the exterior.

OP how functional are the vents? Do you get several cold starts during the day? How about weight do you notice any difference?

Just wanted to share first minute post install pics
I plan to wrap the whole car in the foreseeable future and will just hold on to the full carbon frontal look for a bit in the mean while

That can be fixed by adjusting the headlights position.
Yeah I feel the same. That contrast is too much. I wold have probably painted the sides in white or everything but the vents. I know paint on CF but that is my own opinion.

I would also paint the roof gloss & get glossy CF mirrors covers. The matte & glossy CF theme doesn't flow together. Just my opinion.

looks awesome!
can you provide any details on the install? did you have to buy any parts (that maybe you weren't able to transfer from the oem hood) be able to install it? if so, what was the total cost of the parts and labor?
thanks!
