Dipped C63 & Intro.
Hello everyone!
Been reading here for a few months but haven't posted much.
Coming from a 2009 A6 3.0T.
Bought my 08 C63 in June with 46k and noticed it already had a 2nd cat delete with an x pipe and Afe dry filters.
I later added a eurocharged tune and a straight delete instead of the X.
The Dunkin in my username is because I'm a franchisee, not my name.
Old A6.
And recently Dipped my entire car (formally silver)
Saw the color and decided to just go for it.
(Dipped the roof, spoiler, grill, trim, mirrors, markers black)
Really happy with how it came out, most people who see it in person like it.
Feel free to be brutally honest.

Love the color! Congrats on the car and the ***** to just go ahead and dip it!
Looks great.
Question for ya: As with the spray can PlastiDip, does this dip have a texture?

Otherwise, color is unique. I don't hate it.

Not exactly my cut of tea but nice job with the dip. Enjoy the great ride! I'm sure we'd all like to hear more about how the job was actually done.

It was diy but I also had access to a full spray booth and have some paint experience.
I used about 3.25 Gallons of Intense Teal from Dipyourcar dot com and had 6 coats on the majority of the car and 1 gallon of black for all the smaller pieces. I used the Dipyourcar HVLP gun as well. And that was borrowed, so the entire project was under 300$.
The hardest part was masking front bumper grills and peeling the tape before the dip dried and trying not to make any marks in it. I also went all out on taping the inside seams to limit overspray.
It does have a rubber feel to it. But the new(ish) Dip Coat spray from DYC makes a HUGE difference. It definitely is worth the extra 25$
Still debating! Might be switching wheels in the spring anyway.
