Ditching Mobil 1 - NA (Has anyone done any research on the other approved brands?)

So, after tossing in some Ceratec almost a month back I can legitimately report increased low RPM torque and and fuel mileage.
As skeptical as I was, I tried it anyway. The results were positive.

(with that said, I've been running M1 5w-40 since doing the 44O cooling system, no Mos2 or Ceratec, and my car seems to love it)

Interesting that Mobil 1 0W-30 Racing Oil tests out at an astounding 1,654ppm of moly. A full bottle of Liqui Moly MoS2 in the C63 adds about 240-280ppm based on my experience.
Mobil: Mobil 1 Racing 0W-30 is recommended for a wide range of race engine applications including highly loaded flat tappet designs such as NASCAR Cup engines.

Now that I'm outside of factory warranty I will likely stop using Mobil 1 since there are higher quality oils approved. I'm located in North America so I'm not looking at the 229.51 spec sheet at all.
Engine Oil Approval Guide
MB Sheet 223.2: https://bevo.mercedes-benz.com/d/d/en/Spec_223_2.pdf
Summary: Spec 229.5 only SAE 0W-40 and SAE 5W-40 are approved.
229.5 Spec: http://bevo.mercedes-benz.com/bevolisten/229.5_en.html
With the above in mind has anyone done any actual research (not personal opinion) on any of the other approved oils listed?
If I can find it here in Canada (likely not lol) I'm considering a switch to Shell Helix Ultra or Pennzoil Ultra Euro 5W-40 Full Synthetic.

I looked into using this because I liked the numbers too on first look. The problem is that the Racing Oils have like zero detergents, and break down quickly. They're meant to be put in before running hard on track, then drained out immediately. They don't last long. Diabolis had a good post somewhere about it a year or two ago.

I'm switching to Rotella T6 next change after the one I'm doing tomorrow. Have 3 Blackstone samples to send off - one from normal M1 0W-40 with 2 track days, one from M1 0W-40 after Ceratec and Mos2 with 2 track days, and one M1 5W-40 straight with 3 track days. All have around 2k miles on them, and this last one has been in the car since last October when the 44O went in. Will be interesting to see the results, especially the current one with the much lower oil temps. The other two got blasted with 260+deg temps for extended periods.

Agreed. If you drain it right after the track sure. I'm driving long distances to and from tracks, so I'm not with that program really.

I did an extended 11k+ miles OCI on a BMW M S54 motor recently with the pre-GTL Pennzoil Ultra Euro 5W-40 and MoS2. The Blackstone report came back last month. Wear metals were mostly below universal averages (mileage-adjusted to 4,900 miles). TBN was still extremely strong at 3.6 and best of all a Kinematic Viscosity @ 100ºC cSt of 13.67, same as new was at 0 miles. This is a damn good oil.
The Pennzoil Ultra Euro 5W40 is almost the only oil that I can find, that meets the spec for my wife's Fiat Abarth. The other day I saw that it meets the spec for the C63 as well and started to wonder about it.
The crazy thing is that the parts stores around me all dropped the 5W40, but the Fiat dealership sells it for $8/quart.
I am not going to put the time into reading this whole thread, but this then is an oil that returned better test results than a Castrol 0-40 European formula?
