Trans Fluid & Diff Flush [PICS]

So, did this today.
Tranny flush (with updated fluid)
LSD Diff Flush
Cabin Filter

Pretty straight forward. Had a hoist, so made it alot easier.

Tanny fluid was very clean. No metal shavings on the magnets, which was good.

Diff fluid was pretty dirty, needed a change.

Cabin filter was very easy to do. Also sprayed the new filter with my fav cologne, and the air con smells sooo good!

Hahaha

I buy everything always from ECS Tuning.
Much cheaper than buying in Aus, even after I factor in 2 day FedEx.
Paid for these on Friday, arrived Monday.
That's how good ECS is.

Yeah, need a hoist for this job seriously.
Diff not so much, but Tranny need one.
I mean it's not impossible to do it on ground, but I wouldn't attempt it.

Car doesn't drive any different that I can feel. Shifts the same still.
But I know in my head it's better for the car overall.

Good work and congrats on doing it yourself. I am sure the hoist makes the work more enjoyable.

Mind if I ask how many km are on your car?

Nice your diff has the added cooling fins. Don't see that on many cars.

I did the same last Saturday.
Transmission and diff. Took me about 8h for both. I was taking my time just to make sure that I don't miss an important detail.
ECS is where I got all the stuff from as well. Always a walk in the park with ECS.
I like their service kits and they are spect correctly.

Had no help, on jack stands and had to make a few tools. The actual work was way less then 8h somewhere around 3h maybe. Damn had to drive to work to get a 27mm socket to turn the crank shaft.

Please forgive my ignorance and I realize this topic is coming up on a year old, but I'm interested in doing this on my 2010 C63 AMG and I have to ask, how'd you get the fluid back in the trans? There isn't a dipstick tube on these models anymore and nowhere I can see to fill the trans. Please help? Thanks!

The transmission pan has a drain plug with a plastic level tube installed in it. You pump the fluid in through the drain hole till it starts to overflow the level tube. Then you go through the warm up procedure and let the excess fluid drain off until the required fluid temperature is reached. Reinstall the drain plug and you are set to go.
