You can definitely DIY if you are the handy type. Hardest part is transferring over the lenses. We have a tutorial courtesy of MBworld member Matt-erhorn on our webpage on how to remove the housings:

Could you tell me the depth and protrusion of the godhand lip? I have to be able to clear the hump in my driveway!

i can tell you it adds aprx 2" to the bottom, i can measure later if you need but if your car is lowered it will probably hit IMO


Edit:
Measured its about 2" at the bottom and adds slightly under 2" to the front of the car
