Exclamation Stock 2014 C63 P31 Drag run

Hello guys. yesterday I joined in the test and tune session in my country (Kingdom of Bahrain). The car is stock, with BMC replacement filters only. The car a day before was in they dyno and generated 427 horse powers in the wheels and 511 horse powers in the engine. I use the best continental tires that are assembled when I got the car from the dealership few months ago and then I finished them drifting in 4 weeks and bought the same set of tires. However in the drag strip, I had the worst wheel spin when the traction is completely off running to 13 seconds flat, which is disappointing. A car like mine should run 12.5 seconds or lower, this was because of the tires as the tuners over there suggested I change the tires as these have really god performance in the road only and not in the drag strip where the track has track bites and glue. When I used the launch control it was wheel hoping like it's job! thought my differential would break!! I tried launching the car then in 1500 RPM's and using the traction in (sport) here I brought 12.9 seconds, which I'm not totally happy about but at least I saw the number 12 and know the issue is from the tires. any suggestions of how to launch and what kind of tires I should use.
Please note it was my first time ever in a drag strip and my car is only 4000 kilometers used, now I'm waiting for eurocharge to send me the tune =).

Michelin PSS in a 265 or 275.

This topic has been covered many times so just look around. Go to the drag time thread and you'll likely find what you want in there.

Getting the car to hook is the issue. Unless you just want to go ahead and get a track set of wheels/tires for the rear and just get drag radials.

Also, don't expect to run records literally your first time at the track. Drag racing is much more complicated than mashing your foot and just going.

No worries. There is definitely room to improve on those tires. I am not very good at drag racing either and got down to 12.3/12.2 on my 255 continentals. 13 sedan non-pp.

Provide more info such as your 60 foot times, 1/8 mile speed and time along with your 1/4 trap speed. If you hook, your ETA will go down snd your teap speed will be slightly lower as well. Your trap speed will be higher if you spin alot out of the hole.

U just need more seat time first to lower times. Then you can make changes to setup snd get even lower times.

Hello. Thank you for your reply, and that k for your advice. Im sprey I wish I could provide the times but I haven't taken the papers from the drag strip, I completely forgot about it. Do you recommend any tires or launching method ?
