Hi Gentleman,

Liberty sent me an invitation. Evidently Mercedes has partnered with them in some fashion. I'm currently with Farmers. I received an Apple to Apples quote and Liberty blew away my Farmers fee quote. They quoted on both home and my autos. Has anyone had any experience with Liberty either good or bad? I was told by Liberty that they cherry pick low risk customers such as us. Thanks for your help.

Liberty is my carrier and I switched in 2013 from Allstate who was ripping me off compared to liberty. They too described a Benz relationship and I saved $700 a year going to liberty ... Haven't had a need to call on them for an accident but they have a good reputation

Can't go wrong if the numbers are right. Also I chose to participate in the driving monitoring program for 3 months and babied all our cars and got another 10% off our premiums

Love liberty

Thanks Peter for you input. Put it this way. For the amount that Farmers is charging me for the GT3, I can insure all three of my cars (liability only for the Lexus) at 100/300k coverage and all other items the same.

No problem. Liberty however was more expensive for home insurance than Allstate as well as for umbrella... So I stayed with all state for those two items

Even a bundle discount didn't bring the home owners or umbrella down enough with liberty, so I just use liberty now for auto

Hmm, sounds like it's time to call Liberty for a quote. I have also found Liberty home insurance to be higher than other than others, esp All State, in recent years. Currently I have Geico for auto.

That's what I figured. It's hard to beat military insurance. Especially when JDPower wont allow them to win Best-Insurance-Company rankings because they say its a select cool people only club :P

I love having USAA. They always take care of me and make everything a breeze.

My insurance is quite high here in Germany so I'm curious what it will be when I get back to the States. A lot of that is due to the having higher minimum coverage amounts required by law. The insurance on my Buick LaCrosse had jumped up about 60-70%.

I would have to save A LOT, and I mean A LOT of money to ever switch.

I must agree, USAA has never been anything but the best to me. Even after having to write off my Maserati 4200GT, the rates never went up, and the customer service is always excellent. Any other quote has always been higher than what I currently pay.

Liberty is a crap company. They owned safeco, and they were absolutely hellish to deal with. I'd be curious if their quotes are actually lower now though, because before they were higher than other companies

Hey all, I actually work for Liberty Mutual and work exclusively with the two Mercedes Benz dealerships in my area to offer this exclusive benefit to their clients. I am licensed in VA, MD, and DC, but I would be more than happy to answer any questions you may have about this program or put you in touch with someone in your area.

Thanks,
James
