I Use

and 6000-8000km and newer burning oil. Used about 50k km. Very good oil.

No turbo? Your engine can run on ANY oil in the store. Dino oil? Just use the "STANDARD OIL" option when resetting the OC indicator. 0w-20? No problem in Arctic cold. 20w-50? Perfect for Texas summer or Saudi Arabia.




People loosing their minds over 229 spec oils, they are no different than other manufactures specs.

VW 502.00 505.00 is old hence it's poor oil performance profile .

And yes you'll get Audi drivers with RS4 etc using it because their frozen in time handbooks says to use it !

Oil technology moves on...

I use a VW spec in a Merc , sometimes an oil can carry both specs .

Attached are the specs for the various engines. M156 requires oils made tov 229.5. Also attached current approved oils listing.
