^^^So sad. Always do all your mods as soon as you get the car. That way you get to enjoy them the entire time you own it, instead of paying for the next guy

I hear ya! I just got tired of waiting. It was difficult to find good tires in the sizes I needed at the time I needed them. So ill just burn thru them and go from there. Good video tires!

I feel your pain. I guess it could b worse. Some guys wait 3-5 years for a project completion.
I wont b selling it anytime soon, no worries. I think that becomes a money thing when some people dump all that money that they dont have into something that isn't a necessity.

Got my ADV's finally. 245 & 305 Pirelli Zero Nero GTs. They look amazing! Even better in person.

U should have done the outer lips the same red finish as ur inner barrels since ur car is red.

I thought of that but didn't want the look of a 'floating star' in the middle. I wanted the center to be tied to the outer lip. Just thought it looked better that way. So I chose to give it depth and make the barrel red.

Why not go wider on the front tires to kill some of the built in understeer? The larger the gap gets from front to back the More understeer you will get. The Porsche and Ferrari run a setup similar to yours but that is because the weight distribution is 40/60 front to back. Yours will be more like 55/45 so the tires on the front need to be wider.

Ive seen 275s the widest on the front with the widebody. We thought that would probably rub. You can go 315 in the rear. I did get 10mm spacer that Renntech and HRE recommended to balance the front and rear. Im waiting in the end to see how it is on overall stance, fitment and performance.
In the end I had to go with what everyone came up with.

305 with 275 would work well or even 265. The 305/265 would give you the best tyre options, you can get Tofeo R and Pilot sport Cup2 in those sizes for max summer grip.

Very good point, I'm also not a fan of the floating star. Just thought it was a waste to have such a nice red finish hiding inside the barrels. I'm sure they look amazing in person & if u keep washing the inner barrels, it will pop on ur red car.

Props for fitting 305 in the rear, it will look crazy! Lol

20" wheels do limit things a bit. I have 325/25r20 and 305/30r20 for my SL. (Pilot sport cup2)

Great build by the way, I will be interested to see how it does on the track.

Some of the holdup is currently Weistec had to make another batch of CF driveshaft's because the prior ones did not meet their specs. Should b anytime tho.
Other is some of the parts for my cooling system is still on order from Germany and waiting for an ETA.
As soon as I get addtnl pics ill send them thru.

True statement. Took me 4 years to get my previous car (B8 S4) to the way I wanted it altogether done.

Powder turned out fantastic!! So here's the current timeline. There are a few additional items being worked out to maximize hp. Car should be completed in the next 4-6 weeks. We will see how that goes. It'll be interesting to see how everything comes together. Hopefully smoothly. With this setup, should cut into the mid to low 9's.

CF driveshaft came in as well as the cooling system. Engine with all the goodies will be getting pieced together soon.

I don't normally ask for updates...but this thread is epic and I don't want it to die...sooo...how's the build coming?! lol

I just had full headers/exhaust, tune, TCU valve, and ROW airbox done on mine and I love it...no where near what you're doing though!

No prob. Well my exhaust system was lost in the mail and never arrived. So Weistec had to rush produce a set and itll b en route. That's the last item then everything going in. That just held up the build for a few wks. So we will see the progress coming along now. We r very excited to see what power is put down with my unique setup.

Well part of a big reason I began this thread was because when I first got my car I always liked reading about what people were doing to their vehicles and dreaming about what I could do with mine one day. I think its cool to play it all out so others can see the process, pains and joy of lots of thought, patience, hard work and $$$. I know not a lot of owners can do this, but its nice to see what the possibilities are.
I appreciate all the good words, input and following. Itll b worth it, trust me!

Thanks for the update buddy! With mine Weistec headers/exhaust being about 500 miles in I can definitely say the sound is AMAZING. I feel horrible for my neighbors on cold starts...but it puts a smile on my face either way!

Can't wait to see your build finished, the time/process/parts are epic to see.

Cheers!

I totally agree. It is always amazing to see others modding tastes since they all vary. Your build though looks fantastic and it will be great to see how it turns out!
