Wow, I didn't realize I was mistakenly reviving old "fighting" posts, honestly my mistake on that. Was just curious about the X-pipe.

Anyways, Purpleheart, I see the portion that you noted in post 47 (Thanks for the pic Arjy!). I think I'll just do as you suggested. Mock it up and figure it out from there. You think a Dremel cutting wheel will do the trick? Or do I need to bust out the air wheel cutter? I think I will post up a how-to anyways, just for kicks Thanks for the assist!

You can try the dremel, it isn't a very thick piece of metal. Sounds like you're handy enough to understand if it isn't working a select a different tool for the job.

My last recommendation, don't cut too much with your first cut. Better to have to cut again. Remember, you're exhaust hangers will also allow for some play, so after that first cut try to get it on there. Before you button everything up (if you're doing this on your back under the car), also check the exhaust tips. Say you were able to get it on, but it was VERY tight, it could cause your tips to be little crooked.

Again, it is just a trial and error type of thing. But as always it's best to leave too much than too little. Just take your time.

Look forward to documentation here.

PS - If you throw together a solid DIY on this, as in, take pictures every step of the way and include the "little things" it would be much appreciated. We'll get that into the FAQ and sometimes EC even will throw people some free t-shirts for helping out this community specifically, but don't quote me on that.

Quote: No, they are made here in the USA.

We are working on getting a sound clip now. Just installed one a few minutes ago, so that should be up soon! You don't need to add anything else.

I'll post a picture of the cut later today. The sound is a little better to me and there will be no gain in power.

They actually handle most of their customer service through PM's. Why PM's you may ask? Well, because nowadays their threads get filled up by a bunch of morons just looking to bash away. Seriously, go look at most recent EC threads, FILLED with little ***** replies.

So, they choose to not get involved but take care of those who have questions and reach out in a reasonable manner. Now, if I told you that you're an idiot would you be likely to help me? Probably not.

Fact is, business is good for these guys. They don't need to get involved in forum shenanigans, especially when people keep on buying their products.

Need to know about their customer service? Okay

I was having some issues with my MyGenius and tune. So, expecting to not hear back for a couple days I sent EC an email detailing my issues. Turns out, it was just a fluky type of thing that rarely happens. Anyways, I sent it out after 8:30pm on a weekend. Within 30 minutes I was on the phone with EC, they called me I didn't call them, and they stayed with me on the phone until we figured everything out which took about 30 minutes. Then, they told me to go drive the car and call back after a drive and they'd wait for me. Sure enough, they waited.

Believe it or not everyone, if you're a decent person to them they're going to be decent to you. Also, there is this thing you all carry around on your person called a phone. On it, you'll see you have access to the internet where you can Google Eurocharged. Google is so cool and savvy that you can just click on a phone number.. YOU DONT EVEN HAVE TO TYPE ALL THOSE DIGITS IN WWHHHATTTT???? Then, wait a second, you're telling me that a live human being that works for EC is going to pick up? AND treat you like a normal person with the intent of leaving you as a happy customer? Crazy.

If I give you the finger publicly are you going to look at me, smile, and think "gee, what a nice guy?" No, you aren't.

So for all of you before, and obviously those who come in the future to flame away, if you want information about EC (which has most likely already been covered here a million times but you insist on getting it spoon fed) call or PM them. If you've been a dick I recommend you call and don't tell them your username, trust me, they notice these types of things.

Thanks,

I wasn't point the finger directly at you, just to the board in general. The fact is, these guys really do take care of their customers / future customers. Some people would rather sit here and complain but really all their are doing is missing out on quality parts / services. Not my problem.

However, when things do go a little south I speak up about it. Not on behalf on Eurocharged, but on behalf of the community that is either incoming or already exists so they don't get the wrong impression by a few... special... individuals. I don't want those newcomers to miss out on good things because of the negative posting that is all over EC threads.

Cheers

Email typically works better than PM's as well. We try out best and exhaust our employees.

AMG3.2 - sometimes its hard to get to everything, an email to our sales email will get replied to, nothing will get past our owner Jerry or Jake as their goal IS the best customer service. I myself value all of our customers, if you have any questions remember my email, I will answer to the best of my knowledge

And purpleheart - thanks man! (-: you know we try!

Ya'll have a good night

I actually really didn't think you were going to get flamed. You provided honest insight for newcomers that may have taken a look at this thread and gotten the wrong impression of Eurocharged's customer service. I've been a member here since 2011, but dropped off for years since I had an M3 so definitely fall into this bucket.

Absolutely, EC is fantastic and I don't give them any negative feedback for not posting more supportive posts on threads. Their customer service is superb, and is really all you need. I emailed Jerry @ EC after I got my hand held and all the other parts, it must've been after 6pm CST, and I had someone calling me within 20 minutes. Totally unexpected He sent back my tune via email the next morning at 9am. I was thrilled!

I actually already installed the X-pipe but I did take a few photos and a couple videos too. I will put it all together this weekend and post here
