any clip with this xpipe installed and nothing else? or must one get this and add other things to go with it? headers etc..?

All that pipe in the picture shown gets rid of is your resonator. Minimal hp gains (probably 5hp tops really), sound is louder but not insane, and no, you can get just that pipe if you want.
The loss is weight. You really won't lose anything else.
Again, I am pro- secondary cat/ res delete and recommend it to anyone who wants a louder exhaust without any headaches.
