Number plates can change all the time in the States. Correct me if I'm wrong, but in the UK the plates stay with the car.
It was that issue that got Top Gear chased out of Argentina during the Patagonia Special.

If that happened to me, I would go there to confirm it and get a typed letter or something.. who knows might help with the value many many years from now if you plan on keeping it that long, or you can use it to get some extra money out of whoever you sell to!

C63 AMG - PP+
Yep over here in the UK the plate generally stays on the car, unless you have your own personalised registration, but then if you sell the car and hold the plate, or transfer your personal registration to your new car, typically the old original plate goes back on the car again.
When was that episode on ? Must of missed that !
Its wasn't this one as the C63 isn't on UK plates ?
