TCU and Valve body upgrade (Weistec)

Anybody on here had the Weistec Valve body and TCU upgrade done on a 7G Transmission.
Getting mine done soon and would just like to hear feedback from anyone that has already done it. Is the shifting noticeably quicker, still nice and smooth when just cruising?

Cheers

Hi mate

You can defiantly notice the faster shifts and around town is fine

I predict you will need a new tranny soon enough mine only lasted 2 weeks if that so save your pennies

Good luck

Cheers for the reply.

Mine tranny has done 10K miles with the Stage 2 (totally stock).
Was yours stage 2 or stage 3 when it lasted 2 weeks?

feel a lit of bit qucker but shifts a bit hard (seems Weistec increases some clutch touch points-to avoid slips )

I would love the Bullet transmission its just the cost of shipping to USA from UK that puts me off. The actual cost seems reasonable for the transmission but the shipping is the killer

I'm in the same situation but I have to send from Australia
Shipping costs are half what the transmission costs

No one does it in UK.

Only Weistec dealer is MSL (Who built my car) and they would remove and send the gearbox to Weistec.

If your tranny is working fine leave it alone and consider yourself lucky.

I live in NYC now, so that might prove difficult...

Go to 5:00 here and you'll see me blowing by a CGT doing about 197 in my old 996TT through the beams

Great times!

Did he lift? Nice run. What year was that? The last time I was there was 2007 I think. ( Ferrari 430 ) I am looking forward to trying to hit that magic 200mph in March and representing the MB UK.
