there is not a button.....the gauge dial color and the needle color is WHITE...pure white and ONLY white.....however, they tint the needle and they tint the dials whatever color they want so that when the WHITE light comes through it is the color of the tinting.
with that being said, it is VERY easy to undo and redo what the factory did... if you pull the cluster out of the dash, pop open the tabs on the side the cluster itself will fall out into your hands....once this is done you just need to remove the side gauges trim rings(5 plastic tabs) and 4 screws from the speedo and what youll have is the "color producers" in your hands....if you want to leave the needles alone then just grab the Sharpie color of your choice and color in the back side of the side gauge trim rings and the rear of the speedo bezel and Voila, you now have the color hashmarks of your choice...if you dont like the color just dip a Qtip in some 70% isopropyl alcohol and it will wipe right off so you have a new blank canvas....if you also want to change the needle color its just a little more involved....removing the needles is not hard but you can have issues if done wrong...make sure the car was off and the needles were zeroed out before you pulled the cluster from the car...when you get ready to pull the needles the BEST way is a hard, smooth motion so that they POP off(2 spoons works very well for doing this without marring the gauge face at all)...soak the gauge needles and speedo needle in some 70% isopropyl alcohol for about 5min and the red will literally wipe off of the needles with a Qtip....now for the speedo you will just remove the needle cover(very easy, it just slips on) and Sharpie on the color of your choice on the TOP of the needle(the bottom of the needle has a white film to reflect the light that you dont want to remove...speedo is done!!! as for the side needles, apply a white background behind the needle(i always use the white out tape) and then on the top Sharpie on the color of your choice...needles are now DONE.....as for reinstalling them, if you will just BARELY get the needle started and give it a slight twist towards the zero position you will feel when its on its stop, once there make sure the needle is pointed where it was before you took it off and then press down firmly in a smooth firm motion......reassemble and enjoy
ive done this about 10x between my car and a few friends and can literally have the job done in about 20min start to finish.....took a little bit more than a button but not much

@jptaylor that must be photoshopped, you have almost a full take of fuel ;-)
But really, that is cool. I was wondering if the Star dig tool can do it?

And the answer about Star is no, because the LEDs on the board are white for the gauges(as in they can ONLY produce white light), the LEDS for the warning lights and indicators are RBG so those may be changeable
