Pissed off!!

That is exactly what you need to do. I would disconnect my battery t oavoid any static electricity or else triggering the airbag.

Unless you have a faulty and damaged airbag. Either way it needs to be tested and the fault cleared. Don't play with safety in this case.

maybe disconnect battery pull the airbag and re-check all the connections.
. What year is your car?Does your dash say "SRS malfunction"?
Even though the connections are checked once triggered the light won't come off by itself. Only the dealer can clear it (or anyone having the tester/software). If I recall they charge $168. Happened to me when I put the car back to stock. While working on the car I needed power at some point and reconnected the battery but I forgot my airbag was not connected yet. Got the SRS malfunction light and it would not come off no matter how hard I would reconnect and check everything back. Even disconnecting the battery didn't do it.

Nope. Just changing out the steering wheel trim and paddles. I was also changing plugs at the time, but that's irrelevant. 2012 Coupe. Yes, the dash says SRS malfunction when I start the car, and I have to hit OK to get it to go off. Sucks. Hate going to the dealer here, they're *****s. (sorry, doodieheads)
