Did a lot of wheel searching, nothing else to do since car is sitting in storage for a long winters nap. Went back and forth between HRE, Klassen, Volk, but a smaller "boutique" type wheel designer caught my eye, Velos Designwerks. Forged, lightweight, great designs, and custom fineshes available, and after an initial conversation, they were good to speak with, and proceeded.
After waiting for the custom production of the wheels, as well as the custom satin black finish, they have arrived.

19x10" rear +50 offset
perfect C63 offsets in my opinion!
Recently got the 245/35-19 and 275/30-19 Michelin PSS installed the other day, getting closer, just need snow gone and streets clean!

Thanks! I went and put the passenger sides on just to check clearance, fit, etc.....perfect, then took them back off. I had to stand and stare for a while because I loved the look of the wheels, once out of storage I'll get some pics up.

They have several finish options, closest to what you are looking for would be "brass", "transparent brown clear", "translucent copper", or "deep copper"....guessing it would be close or possibly do exactly what you want.

Yes, Forged are up there......but I look at it as it is an AMG, and I wouldn't feel right about putting anything "price point" on it, or I'd rather just leave that part stock. Figure, if doing it, do it right!
Thanks -= I shopped around quite a bit, and love the S3 design, the way the spokes are spaced, the concave profile they use, etc....it all was perfect for what I was looking for.

Question for those with black wheel or strong opinions:
More and more I look for PROPER aftermarket black lug bolts, the more I find less options of the exact spec I need/want them to be.
I have however been noticing more and more cars on the street with black wheels using silver or polished lugs......not minding the look as it adds some contrast, thoughts?
how long was the build time for these wheels? how long did it take to get them after you ordered them?
I ordered the week of Christmas, arrived first week of March. From a production perspective I am sure Christmas and New Years holiday added a week or two to the process.
