Excessive Brake Squeal
I've noticed that my AMG is having some break squeal. Not like all the time but here and there it makes a squealing sound, especially when stopping from slow speed.
I checked my pad depth and i'm still at a good point in it's life.... is there any reason why I would be getting this. It doesn't sound like metal-metal grinding but its still pretty darn annoying!

I have this same issue but it started happening when I installed the Porterfield Racing pads on my stock rotors.. Ironically, it didnt squeal when I had the stock pads still in because it's a softer compound than the racing pads from what I've been told. Maybe it's time to get new pads or rotors.. GL

Its very annoying, I know exactly what you mean.. And it's continuous sometimes when Im rolling to a complete stop at a light.. Embarrassing to say the least.. Im hoping it goes away after some time when the pads have some miles on them and even out.

You guys needs to probably bed your pads in again! Happens as well when brakes are dirty. There is nothing wrong. Just use them a little bit harder!

Mine squeal from time to time on very slow, soft stops and I have been told unfortunately its pretty common. I do a seat belt check ( hard emergency stop) and it seems to remedy for a while. Always comes back after a month or 2.
would love if someone had another solution to this issue

most people say porterfields fix it (less dust)

I would find an empty road and do some hard stops (like slam the brake pedal down) from 40 to almost 0. Do it a couple times, just like you would with new brake pads.

One of the most common causes of brake squeal is glazed brake pads. Not implying that a proper bed-in wasn't conducted but one of the best ways to prevent glazed pads is by performing a thorough bedding-in procedure.
Good luck!

happened to me and I took it to the dealer. They replaced the pads and I think they mentioned something about sanding the rotors... Anyway, got it back and it's fixed.
So I doubt it might be dust...might want to have it checked out.
