More progress! Car has moved from the metal fabrication shop over to the body shop. Parts are getting lined up, bondo and primer. Prolly another two weeks before this portion of the build is done.

Holy cow getting a custom fitment is a pain in the ****. It's taking awhile to get this done as the body shop is working on the car in between their insurance jobs. Hopefully I'll get it back before the end of the year. They did allow me to get in there to get some wheel measurements so we can get the wheels ordered though!
Too much camber! I'll be taking this out once the car is painted and wheels mounted.

Still working thru that. For the rear, I've netted out @ 305/25/20 a 20x11 (maybe 11.5 if I decide to stretch the tire) with a 38ET. As for the fronts, it looks like I may have to run a 245/30/20 on a 20x9 (9.5) wheel. I haven't figured out the offset just yet as I have the tire coming in and I'll mount it on a jig to get he offset. I was hoping to run a 255 in the front, but the air ride and ultimately wanting to tuck the tire a little while parked is driving the narrower tire size. Plus the fronts were custom fabricated so they may not by 100% the same dimension as a stock BS fender.

It's been busy lately! All the body work is done. The car has been moved to my buddy's shop where we've done a wheel stud conversion, installed two piece front rotors, calibrated the ride height sensors and installed some hella sharptone horns. I still have to tidy up the engine bay, remove the yellowed clear coat off the front calipers, install the foam baffle in the rear deck, polish the exhaust tips, install the wheel liners and possibly fill the gap at the rear fender flares. I have a couple more days worth of work and I'll post that stuff soon. The wheels have been spotted and we're guessing they're now on the back end of the manufacturing process. Maybe they'll be here in two-ish weeks?
If you're in the area, the car has been accepted to the following shows: WCEC Season Opener in West Bend, WI, Elite Tuner @ Six Flags in Gurnee, IL, Wekfest Chicago @ Navy Pier. I'll be applying to a few other shows in the midwest. If all goes well, the following year I'll apply to shows a lil further out.

It's killing me too! The Rotiform rep stopped by the shop to checkout progress. He was asking some questions and taking photos. I told him the car is available to them if they need a booth vehicle in the area or at SEMA. I went back to cleaning up the engine bay and addressed the areas of gold that had peeled up by trimming the lifted areas away, applying adhesive promoter this time and putting on new tape. So close, yet so much more left to do!

YES! It'll be my "practice" show before Elite Tuner and Wekfest. Yeah, we were shooting for World of Wheels but the shop didn't go for the booth space cause they didn't think my car would be done in time. Plus, the darn wheels are still in process. That's what I get for placing my order over the xmas holidays. I haven't seen many around here. Only a black sedan and a pre-facelift silver one awhile back.

Can I ask price of labor to prep the pieces, and install (separately) and which shop did it?
Perhaps for a future project, ya know

Tom's Autobody in Delafield. Total to install and paint all the parts was about $8k. The front fenders were modified by Midwest Fabrication for $2k. I dunno if the guy would do it again though. He normally works on hotrods and only worked on mine cause my buddy worked there.

That's not too bad. In my mind, for the car i want to do, I think the only thing I don't have the guts to do is the rear fenders, cutting into them :/

Pulled the front seats to paint the rear shells white. This is the current substitute!
Swapped out the OEM hood badge (right) for the black OEM version (left)
Yay! Bubbles! I had to order two new front airlift struts to replace this one leaky POS from TWR/Accuair. Accuair support has been horrid, I'll never reccommend them to anyone for anything.
Did the wheel stud conversion, but I had to cut back the rears as they were just touching the e-brake hub and making a horrid noise.

YES! Needless to say, there's a lil bit of scope creep. Did a little bit of sanding and a little bit of painting and more sanding. Hoping to do some final sanding, buffing and polishing tonight! Then get the seats back together.

Those look great! How was it to take the seats apart? I would love to get mine done in Carbon. I hate the stick on version.
