Those look great! How was it to take the seats apart? I would love to get mine done in Carbon. I hate the stick on version.
Thanks! There's a lil bit of orange peel I hope to sand off. It was a tough pulling the leather guides out of the plastic channels. You need to do that in order to access six screws (3 on each side) and unscrew two nuts holding in the airbag. Otherwise, it was pretty smooth. In all, it took me 2-3 hours to pull the seats apart and get the shells off. I'm nervous about scratching the paint during the assembly. Gonna have to protect it with a couple layers of blue tape and pray!
Nah, you have to cut the shifter stalk and then wrap it in a rubberized tape to get a good friction fit. Plus us have to play around with getting the boot to sit nicely just blow the shifter.
Seats look great. How difficult was the tear down and rebuild?
It was reasonably smooth. The tear down was difficult to pull the leather guides out of the plastic shell channels. Especially hard around the transition from the shoulder to headrest. Other than that, it was carefully unscrewing stuff. The plastic mounting holes were all very brittle. The rebuild was very easy.
More cleaning! I had ignored my exhaust tips for far too long. Spent two days working to bring them back to par. Various dremel sanding drums, 140, 200, 400, 600 and 1000 grit wet sanding, green scrub pad, 000 and 0000 steel wool along with black, rogue and white buffing compounds were used.
