Unhappy Alas, Coupe Too Low

This is my first post and most probably my last.

I almost got to join the ranks of you C63 owners. The seller brought over his immaculate '13 C63 low mileage, fully optioned coupe for me to inspect.
When he drove up my heart sorta sank...Gee it didn't look that low to the ground in the pictures.

My previous rides, a 911 and Lexus GS 400 didn't have much problem making it up my driveway to the garage without scraping too badly especially if I angled my approach.

The C63 had no chance. The front spoiler was just about to scrape before the back tires even started their ascent. F*** me. I felt like crying but managed to man up. Even my wife was saying...What a beautiful car!
i had her approval from the start. Oh well, life sure likes to throw curve *****.

Sometimes I wish I was just like that, rollover and give up... But NOOOO, I must always figure things out.

So you don't have a C63, yet your profile states that you drive one. Got pics of the driveway? Depending on the slope, there are always solutions.

Well...the first thing I looked up was how to raise a C63...but who the heck wants to raise their car so no easy solution there. Attached is a picture of my driveway. If you got a solution I'd welcome it. Short of some heavy machinery work I think I'm SOL.

Can't tell exactly how steep it is from that picture alone, but looks like it can be cleared if you go real sideways up there? Did you try?

I know what you mean...my normal approach is sideways but didn't work for the C63. If it was my car I would have given it more of a try but this was a guy I had just met and the car was pristine. I didn't want to be responsible for him dinging his spoiler. Maybe this picture is better.

I don't wanna give up...but facing the facts can sometimes be hard. Boy I really wanted that car.

Hehe...you sound just like my wife. Just out of curiosity..how many of you park on a public street rather than a garage. I'd hate to park my car outside especially since its illegal here...but rarely enforced. In my mind parking a car like this outside on a regular basis is just too tempting.

Give it a try, i'm pretty sure you can make it up. Just have someone watch from the front if you can't make it.

When we tried we were so sideways that the rear tire was almost parallel to the leading edge of the driveway. In that position the front left portion of the spoiler was just about scraping. If it was my car I personally wouldn't care if there was very minor scraping but this was gonna be much much worse than that.

Did the car have an aftermarket front splitter fitted because they do lower the front from standard.

No the car was stock, with the 18 in wheels and the front spoiler from the AMG Styling Package.

And just for clarification. It wasn't an "almost" but a "no way in hell" is this gonna work.

I would go nuts living in a house with this kind of driveway... going up is tricky but going down is even more trickier. I'm surprised your 911 made it up there w/o scraping.

I'm not entirely disagreeing with this..... When I was looking to buy a new home last spring I came upon a beautiful home that as in my budget, at the right location and has the style I wanted. But the drive way way too steep so I passed on it. My agent thought I was crazy until he saw what I drove.

It mightn't look great but could you put some steel checker plate between the road and the drive to lessen the incline and change the angles?

Alter the approach. If you change it so that the front tires ride up onto something before the spoiler hits it should work.

If I can get one up my driveway you can too. Think it through.

If your 911 can make it up that, then the C63 can as well.

Nothing a couple sturdy wood planks won't fix.

stock ride height? Thats odd you couldn't pull in, my friends drive way is atleast 2-3x steeper then that and I've never bottomed out even with my 20's

maybe just reverse in

As already mentioned, a few planks or go in backward.
