Do I have PP?

Hi guys:

Just picked up a '12 coupe from a non MB dealer. I had looked up the VIN and according to every site I checked, it included the PP (this was also verified later on from the datacard provided by Member Valvestud). After signing the papers and taking the car, I found the original window sticker and incredibly enough, it did not list the PP. It does show LSD lock and the rest of the options are correct. It does have red calipers but not alacantara steering wheel.

Does anyone know if there is any way to physically verify if it has the PP?

Thank you in advance for any help!

Pop the hood, if the intake manifold runners are grey, you have a PP C63, if they are white, you do not have a PP C63

Yep, your car has grey intake manifold runners which means it has the PP motor

Cohen, I thought that was disproven as a for sure method?

Anyways, the other thing I would look for is the 2 piece rotors as well. My car is stated as having the PP on the window sticker, but in actuality, I have pieces of it. LSD, Top Speed delimiter, no alcantra and no 2 piece brakes.

It can be ordered piece by piece individually.

It's a 2012 fl model, so easiest way to tell is if his brake calipers are red. LSD was a separate option not included in pp.

Ahh, forgot about the FL model with the red calipers. Good call!

Is there a way to confirm if the car has the Top Speed delimiter, short of trying to go past 155?

If you have PP, you have the delimiter. Otherwise, just get a tune from EC or any of the other vendors, as most of those eliminate it as well, and go past the 174 limiter that the PP gives you.
