My pleasure! There are quite a few nice upgrades that come with the LCI models. Both the pre and post-LCI versions are a blast.
Another performance-based advantage for the LCI cars is the revamped suspension.
2012+ cars get: Redesigned front axles, reinforced rear axles + widening of the front track, stiffer elastokinematics, revised geometry (specifically, more negative camber), larger rear stabilizer bars, and revised spring and damper rates.
As someone that also considered a pre-LCI car, I could definitely tell the difference between the two variants (as far as the ride/suspension is concerned).
The LCI cars get a slightly more pronounced rear diffuser too.
All that said, I like both the pre-LCI and LCI platforms equally. I almost ended up with a new pre-LCI car in late '09/early '10 but I couldn't get out of my BMW lease without taking a bath.
Had to wait until '13 before finally ordering one of the LCI models.
Congrats Mort! Although, IMO I think your 2010 looked better and I think the FL has a "soft front" I personally don't think it's worth the $$ loss to get essentially the same exact car for some cosmetic and cluster enhancements. 4 different driving modes is overkill and the cooling issues...but thats all water under the bridge. Call me old fashioned
You're happy and thats all that matters! You love the interior and the trans. Enjoy and keep posting pics of mod updates....

My Second Mod - Window Tints
I had window tints applied by the only local shop that advertises. He applied Global Films High Performance tint and the best he carries. Not the fancy stuff but it will do the job nicely. He did a great job and I can't see any bubbles or flaws in the film. I had 40% applied to the side windows and 20% to the rear window. We are not allowed front windows tinted here so I purposely kept the sides a more transparent shade. I never had any problems doing this on my 2010. Some pics.

Mod 4 - AMG Door Pins
These came with the car. I think they may be the real AMG ones. The AMG on the top is more clearly etched into the top of the pin than the set I had in the 2010. Sorry not a very good pic of the top of the pin, too much flashback.

Mod 5 - European Console Top
This mod I got from David Harrower. Thanks again Dave for a great mod. This Euro top, from an E class I believe, was sourced by David in Europe and supplied to us here at a great price. The Euro top has leather covered armrests and the bin with the sliding top. It has a divider you can slide in place to hold cups or it can be removed to house larger items that can be kept out of sight of prying eyes. My 2012 came with nicer Nappa covered armrests so I took both tops apart (the part with the sliding top and command control is glued into the console) and swapped them so I now have my 2012 console top with Nappa leather and the Euro sliding compartment. I like it!

Mod 6 - CF Interior Trim
This is some of the CF interior trim I got from Matt (olszowa12). I still have some more pieces on order and will post pics of those after I get them. Matt is great guy to deal with, thanks Matt!
Original trim. I included this pic so you can get an idea of the great looking improvement!

Mod 7 - Smoked Corner Lights
Well I replaced the orange marker lights with these Depo smoked corner lights from Fishcakes on EBAY. It is usually the first thing that is mentioned when pics of cars are posted and mods are mentioned. I managed to do it before anyone said I should....LOL

You got really busy today Mort
Is that a scratch on the front bumper close to the side vent?
Doesn't seem too deep. You should be able to buff it.

It has been raining a lot here Anthony...LOL
Another gift from the previous owner.
I am hoping it will buff out, fingers crossed. There are a few light scratches I am hoping will rub out. That is next on my list. Maybe I can find a piece of CF to cover it up with...LOL

Thanks Meng. I really like the Euro console as well and was happy I could carry it forward from the 2010.
Haha... you are correct of course and I think Anthony was just kidding about the lip covering it up and more just the fact I should get one....LOL
