Mod 18 HMS Rear Fender Flares - Part II
More pics with my Axioms installed 8.5x19 ET +44 front with a 13mm spacer and 10x19 ET +52 rear with a 50mm spacer. My car is as low as it will go on the rear KWV3. The wheels faces are not quite flush but close at -3.25* camber front and -2.25* rear.
These pics give an idea of how the car looks with spacers to fill out the wheel well arches.

Thanks Zeph.
I hope the clear will keep the splitter looking good for a long while. The clear coat pits pretty easily and then leaves white looking spots against the black CF background.
Bug killing season is upon us and it is just going to get worse...LOL

Mod 19 - Brixton WR3 Wheels
Well I finally received my new wheels, the wait was excruciating. The wheels are Brixton WR3 Duo 20 x 9.5 ET+40 and 20 x 11 ET+16. The faces are Polished Carbon Bronze with Satin Clear and the barrels are Satin Black with hidden hardware. A big SHOUT OUT and many thanks go to Brian Edson from Supreme Power. He went well above and beyond in working with me all the way through the decision making process and purchase of these wheels. Thanks Brian!
I love these wheels.
I got these wheels to compliment my HMS fender flairs project.

Thanks Meng. I did go a little conservative on the tires and will replace with a larger size when I get it all fine tuned. I didn't want rubbing issues right off the bat. The tires are Pirelli PZero Nero GT in 245/30/20 and 295/25/20.
wow! your car looks amazing and the wheels compliment the wide body very well.
Btw, did you not bond the flares on to the body? is there a gap or is it just my eyes?
Nice dude. But you've got to be rubbing like crazy at that height, no? Are you on full stiff on your KW's so you don't pogostick back down onto the tires?

Thank you Sidv22. The flares on my car are bonded on but not molded into the existing bodywork.

Thanks AMG3.2. It seems I am rubbing the inner liner on the rear a little but still some room before it rubs any bodywork/flare. I am running the KWs at the same setting that I installed them at. I got the setting from Rsquad911, who got the setting from his brother who is an engineer and worked on the design of the KWs. Not too stiff. On the rear they are Rebound 7 clicks open and Bumb 6 clicks open. In fact I find it a little bouncy at times. The rear springs are set as low as they will go.

Mod 20 - K-MAC Suspension Bushings
Well it looks like it has been a while since I updated this thread.
Over the winter I installed the adjustable camber and caster K-MAC bushings I have had for a while. These bushings are for the front as the rears where done quite a while ago. They need to be pressed in after the OEM bushings are pressed out so I kept putting off the install. I also have the K-MAC adjustable top plates for the strut, making these bushings somewhat redundant, but I wanted to get the front camber back down to stock levels and could not do it with the top plates. Now the front camber is -1* 40' down from ~ -3* previously. This should help with inner edge wear on the front tires and still allow for plenty of negative camber for the street. The install is not really difficult. You need a ball joint breaker and once they are loose you just remove the bolt that holds the inner end of the control arms to the frame. I took the control arms to a shop and had them press the bushings out and the new bushings in.
Lower suspension arms/camber links with K-MAC bushings installed and K-MAC hardware.
Upper suspension arms/castor links with K-MAC bushings installed and K-MAC hardware.

Hey ritalin, thanks. Yes I did both bushings camber and castor. I set the camber bushing all the way in for the lowest possible camber setting. Then I adjusted the castor bushing so it had the least amount of tension on it. Then I did the alignment by adjusting the camber and castor at the top plate. It did take me a bit of time and trial and error but in the end I got the settings even side to side for camber -1*40' with a slight bit more camber on the right 5' or so. Then I set the caster at ~ 11*22.5' on the left and 12*0' on the right. This was to negate any crown in the road and fortunately the car drives very well. Nice and straight with no pull in either direction. I have KWV3 so it is relatively easy to adjust the ride height on the front and get the car even from side to side. I set the toe to 0* on the front and it seems to drive fine without any odd handling characteristics. I set the toe on the rear to 1/8" or ~ 0.33* (0*20'). I didn't want the car to get to lively in the rear especially at high speeds. I would like to lower the car a bit more but the rear will rub if I do and does snick a bit from time to time on the left rear and that is with me alone in the car. The car is even front to rear and side to side at 25 7/8" from the fender lip to the garage floor.
