Your pads selection is fine. I'm not sure those centric rotors are OEM, but they look decent. Those rotors are 1 piece = 36lbs. You can upgrade to the two piece (like a performance pack or 507 rotors) 127.35103 = 29lbs. Racingbrake.com has C63 that are 24lbs. You don't seem like the type to settle so I would recommend getting the 2-piece (centric, OEM, or bacing brake).

Yes the rotors are interchangeable. The only difference between normal brakes and performance pack brakes is the 2-piece rotor vs. 1-piece. The calipers are the same (paint them red, get some 2-piece rotors and you have performance pack brakes)

a car
Link to a thread with great street and track packages for these cars.

I can even upgrade your fronts to 390mm C63 BS / SLS rotors if you need extra for the track.

Buy the complete car kit and save:

http://www.racingbrake.com/Mercedes-.../mb-irk-18.htm

When it comes to rear two piece rotors, especially for Mercedes which has rear emergency brakes, you should pay close attention to how the rear hats are made.

Are they just cut from aluminum billet so that your emergency brakes must be deleted (if the supplier disclosed it) or make it the right way as RB's true light weight, forged aluminum hat with iron sleeve insert to retain your emergency brake.

People get confused between parking brake and emergency brake. Although they both work under the same mechanism, however emergency brake is mechanically operated (via hand brake), which enables you to stop the car via the shoes, in case the hydraulic system fails. It's not just a parking brake.

RB brakes are designed and built with safety and integrity in mind. When we first developed the rear two piece rotors, it was tested by a CamaroSS driver on Texas track using the e-brake to stop the car at track speed.

Thank you.

Note OE (Brembo) two piece uses solid Stainless Steel for CCM rotor hats, and solid Cast Iron for Iron rotor (like Nissan GT-R).

This is why RB two piece rotors are so valuable and favored by those serious track guys in weight saving w/o compromising the safety.

Save 4 lbs on ZR1 CCM rotors:

With OE Stainless steel hat:

With RB composite hat:

Full review with detail DIY here in Corvette Forum:

This link to Nissan GT-R rear two piece will show you RB two piece rotors saves 7 lbs/rotor over OE (Brembo's) full cast iron hat:

I hope you will find this presentation interesting and informative.

We are offering a very affordable package enabling C63/C63S/507 for upgrading to a full Black Series brake w/o having to replace your rear axle here:

Black Series brakes on C63

So if your C63 brake is due for replacement, why just settle just in replacement instead of upgrading to BS's Big Brake kit.
