Red distance Warning
Hi Guys,
I have driven 3 other Mercedes cars recently, CLA, B series and an A series and all of them had the red distance warning appear when to close to the car in front.
On my C63 I can see the warning but it has never come on.
Is it not availalbe on the C63?
Its in the owners manual but doesnt mention its not available to the AMG.

Mine comes on somewhat frequently. Might have been an option. Try braking late behind someone at a stop light and see if it comes on. Not sure if theres a way to turn it off but maybe it is for you?

Hi Guys,
On A Class, B Class and CLA, you dont need Distronic for this as the last three cars I have drove had the function of the distance alert but didnt have Distronic.
I guess the C Class is the only one that has to have Distronic?

If you were seeing distance alerts on cars without Distronic, then you must have been in cars with Parktronic. Parktronic is pretty rare on the C63.

I've had the warning come on several times 
once or twice had it auto braking hard for me/my wife (coming up on a 30-40MPH car doing triple digits).
Of course I have Driver Assistant Package with Distronic Plus.

You should be able to turn it on/off from the car settings. I installed a backup camera on my CLA and it beeps when i get close to an object. i guess its only audio. got it from eBay with the company Emerald integrations. Works perfectly.

2011 C63 AMG
C63s have the 220 Parktronic option. mine is the 2011 pre-facelift and it comes equipped with a camera as well, is the button on top of the HVAC unit off..? Do you have the bar on top of your dash in the front, or the top in the rear..?
