i like it. in saying that, i already ordered the same for my 63 and I have the other design on my 212. you wont see anything at daytime but. guess its the same with the stock courtesy lights at daytime.

It looks like it should just be a swap with the old courtesy step lights & housing. Just pop out the old ones, unplug the back and plug/pop in the new ones.
Exactly as Insignia said. Its a 2 minute job for both sides with a plastic pryer. I admit its a bit cheesy but puts a smile on my face at night time when i open my door.
its exactly the same as the oem. do you really look at the courtesy door light when you open your door and say...that looks cheap! if thats what youre worried about then you might wanna look at your door lock pins first. unless you already changed that. $180k car from new and they put $2 plastic door pins on em. this light is not for everybody, i find it cheesy sometimes but for under $50, what the heck....
I don't think the light is cheesy at all. Lots of new cars are coming with the exact same thing. The brand new M5's have them and heck our brand new Range Rover Sport Autobiography has it stock from the factory as well.
Agreed. I don't think an image produced by light is cheesy.
However, the lens color and clarity of the fixture does not appear to match the oem one at all. That is why I was curious. And yes a light stands out more than door locks. Couldn't tell you what my locks look like. Never paid attention.
