OK... in the interest of seeing that this was unintentional, I am editing this to wait for a proper post now.

Christ. I'm not the type to slam people for bad grammar(mine sure isn't perfect most of the time), but damn. Maybe it was a speech to text thing that went horribly bad? I was willing to cut him some slack until the income numbers got thrown in. Who gives a **** what you make? I'd guess a lot of people make way more than you stated and they don't feel the need to drop numbers in here.

It was a bit tough to read but that's ok. First, I would of not waited 5 hours for that one guy, I would of waited, most an hour, then go talk to every other salesmen until you find one who isn't busy. I'm sure the thing about the name tag was just a light hearted joke...even if the guy said it in a dick tone. Don't look too far into it though Tinbucket, I'm sure they love having you at the shop and your business. It's obvious you can afford your cars or whatever else you have so I doubt they meant any hidden message behind the joking. I say give it another go since you seem to have some acquaintances/friends there and if nothing goes any better, find another dealer or place if possible to take your car to.

I was seriously thinking of buying a E63 and the Salesman that I bought first Mercedes was not there. Maybe moved so one I've talked with before, I approached. He was busy no problem. I was in waiting area for over 5 hours. Figured I would see him in a bit. Never did so I figured never spend today what you can put off til tomorrow.
Went back for a adjustment with window that didn't work right. There about 5 minutes and this other salesman, must have had a bad week, we're going to have to get you a name tag but it wasn't in alight hearted jest.
So I figure they think maybe we can't afford it or whatever and left, insulted.
Oh I get great service and they service dept and everone til now was always more like a friend. Heck I have seen most of them during service calls over 9 years. I sat a fe minutes ago, mulling it over, not a good thing. I added up loosely our income from 09 through last year.I was taken aback then figured again.1.63 million give or take over five years. Not a terrible lot these days but more than most of my Doctors adjusted gross income. So feeling righteous, I' thinking either buy a Lambo and cruise in to talk to techs I know, or buy an S instead of a n E at another Dealer. All this time my book keeper, wife says we can't afford thsi or that.I'm going to have to check her closed and see waht is on those rings and things. But Here I've been worrying about buying 200.00 pair of snakeboots or a tow behind sprayer for my new 12,000.00 zero turn mower. I see a boat comming my way real soon.
too. Would you thmb your nose at them or forgive, forget and act like nothing happened?

Yep very difficult to understand what was written. But I think we get the message. There are jokes that are not to be made particularly in the sales world. If english is not OP's first language then he could have been lost in translation. I know if for a fact since I'm in this case where I don't get all the jokes too . All you have to do is ask to rephrase.
Or just ignore that person and talk to another salesmen. GL

It was the salesman way of saying "you're always here." Like they should give him a name tag because he is there as much as a sales person.

Followed by the light hearted type sentence where sometimes someone can be saying this in a friendly way. However, the way the sales person said it implied that the OP is becoming a thorn in their side because he is there so much.

I'm guessing English is not OP's first language. Looks like it might have been Google Translated?

Anyways, I could understand it.

Why did you wait 5 hours?

$1.63m...over 5 years?

Yes, as you say not a whole lot nowadays...so why embarrass yourself telling everyone what you both earn? Now,
if it was £ sterling, and you had to pay UK prices...probably worth boasting about.

As you were.
