To All Who Track Their Car

Alternatively, you could always try to get and install the special "trick" add-on that I have in my track car - the second last switch activates the best aftermarket mod ever, although it seems that from time to time I am having trouble activating it... must be wiring problems.

It's been a while since the last post on this thread. Here is a thread we just posted in regard to the possible improvement over C63 front 6-pot calipers.
https://mbworld.org/forums/c63-amg-w...ml#post6646652
I hope you will enjoy reading this presentation. Caliper tends to be ignored than rotor and pad because it's not so visible, but undoubtedly it dictates the overall brake performance and components durability.
For those already purchased RB BBK will be qualified for a "track supporting" discount should this caliper components upgrade be of interest to you.
Thank you.
I am totally in love with the brakes now - I now have now found a super solution, that is also durable. Rock solid all day with no hint of fading. I was using the RacingBrake big brake upgrade with Carbotech XP12 hard core track pads.Today I swapped the pads out against street pads and checked both pads and rotors in the process. I was very happy to see that both are in great shape. The rotors have barely any wear and the pads also have barely lost any thickness. Yippee - this setup works great.
A little illustration of how it went: I had signed up in HPDE2 and was doing well, so they assigned an instructor to me to check me out and qualify me to move up to HDPE3. It turns out, the instructor is an experienced racer with a gutted and race prepped Honda S2000. When he stepped into my car he thanked me for asking for a check-out drive, because he was looking forward to riding in a C63. After the ride he couldn't stop saying how impressed he was by the car (it feels like a mountain of power is pushing). He especially called out the brakes, that given the weight of 4400 pounds or so with 2 passengers, was mind blowing to him.
I later compared my lap times to the folks doing time trials that day, and it turns out my time (2:28) would have made me 7th out of 20 there. The C63 can definitely hang with the racers....
Here a couple fun pictures:
my car on the track and the brake pads after the day - the color of the backing plate is all burnt off, but they still work extremely well. Also very happy with the stud conversion from RacingBrake.

Since C63 is about 50% heavier than most motorsports cars, so we have introduced a higher compound - XR90 mainly for heavy car (like C63 or GTR) tracking, which Alex mentioned to you earlier that we want you to try it out.

thanks so much for all you and RacingBrake are doing for us. I love your rotors and could not be happier! The same applies to the stud conversion, by the way!
The start-up issues I had last year with my brakes were triggered by the pad being overtaxed and glassing up. Since I am running track pads things are great.
Unfortunately the new XR90 was not available yet last year, so I tested others and bought a couple sets from Carbotech.
I would be happy to test your XR90 at some point, provided you can supply them in a matching set front/rear (i.e. front and rear with same friction coefficient so as not to alter brake bias).
Please PM me with details. Happy Easter!

Can Wobble64, BLKROKT, or someone having C63 help these GLK guys with your personal experience in RB track rotors - Should be more trustful than "reputable" publication.
