YES
I owe you an email. I'm on my way to the airport, but let's tentatively plan on it.
I found this on NASA:
#2131 OctoberFAST at VIR
#2131: Oct 10th - 11th, 2015
At VIRginia International Raceway

Too bad man, cannot do it that weekend. The weekend after that would work, but have not been having any luck finding a good event at VIR. Theonly real option I could come up with is this:
http://www.motorsportreg.com/events/...3#.Vf6-dU2FM-U
What do you think? 4-5 hrs drive for you, a bit over 6 for me. Track looks 'OK', not great. Video here:

Yeah, there's an SCCA race that weekend at VIR.
Have heard good things about Summit Point though. Only thing that blows is that we'll be stuck in the green group since we haven't run with that group before. Not a big deal.
I don't see anything else on any of the other sites... Also, I think I have a bad left rear axle I have to get sorted when I'm back from traveling. Hopefully next week I'll get to it. We have until Oct 2 to register. I'll email you offline.

I'm going to be instructing at an event at VIR October 19th for hookedondriving.com VIR is particularly suited to our cars. On the back stretch some call "horsepower hill" our cars are at 145+. It would be a great place to really test the BBK you guys upgraded to.

Awesome.
That works for me I think - gives me more time to fix my broken axle. Bernhard?

I am currently out of town cave diving in Florida. I think I may be able to do this also - even though it is such a long drive and would cost me also the day after. When is the registration deadline?
My car is in the shop for a couple f small things (I melted a bit of my rear bumper, for example), but will be good to go by the time I get home this weekend.

Registration will be open until the event sells out. VIR is an awesome track for these cars. Plus it would be a great place to test the BBK from RacingBrake!

It turns out that I have to be down in Baltimore that weekend, so this works perfectly. I'll sign up today/tomorrow. Thanks for the heads-up!

Fellas,
I've got it all set up. This is going to be awesome! We will also have an E63s thrown into the mix as well. If anybody else wants to join us sign up quickly as we are selling out in short order. For all of you guys not fortunate enough to be able to attend, we will post pictures and video. I'm looking forward to being able to run these new RacingBrake set ups we all have. Mine should be here middle of next week according to Alex. We will post track performance info here for those that have been following the progress of these brake set ups on this thread.

Sweet Eric, I didn't know you pulled the trigger on the RacingBrake upgrade also?
What pads did you decide to go with?
My car goes in for the rear diff service + rectifier/heatsink, trans service + big Weistec trans pan, and to get my rear axle sorted on Monday. It's going to be tight. I just don't have the time to do it myself before VIR - I was going to take my time on it, but now you guys got me motivated!
This is going to be epic

Good question. Don't exactly know yet. I had some exhaust work done, and the next day I went drag racing. After the first pass, turning at the end of the track, I heard a thumping sound coming from the left rear of the car. Only happens on slow tight right hand turns. Sounds to me just like a bad CV, but could conceivably be the exhaust hitting the rear diff although we made sure to have the right clearance when welding everything together. Car drives totally fine, just thumping/banging from the passenger rear axle area on slow tight right hand turns. I had the car up on stands doing the brakes, and didn't see anything obviously wrong. Joints look fine, and shaking the exhaust doesn't hit anything. I'm at a bit of a loss, but want to get it up on a lift and get the axle off to see if that's it. It's got to be one of the two - either way I want to get it squared away before VIR.

All,
There are just a couple spots left!! Get in on this incredible opportunity with a strong group of AMGs at a track tailor made for these cars!!
I'm looking forward to giving the new brake packages from RacingBrake a good hard run while we are there!!

I am officially good to go. Rear axle was a non-issue. My exhaust was hitting the frame at a couple points only when hot and only turning right, go figure. Fixed. Also got the new rear diff cover with heatsink/rectifier installed. Rear diff oil was in really rough shape. Trans oil was fine and can wait until the next round of mods which will be the Weistec trans pan, TCU, and valve body. Harry at Bergen Imports squeezed me in on short notice and did a great job. Highly recommended - the guy knows his stuff and is a real enthusiast.
