Hi,
I am new to mercedes and now that I am here I am never leaving. I just bought a 2009 C63 AMG and I am in love. Question; I have noticed only a couple of times that when I drive hard that there is a slight exhaust fume smell in the cabin. The a/c is in auto mode with the the air circulation function on. Is this normal? Just thinking now; perhaps while in auto mode the air recirculation may be overridden and canceled and this is why I smell it? Perhaps the occasional smell is normal. Thanks


P.S.
I am not nearly a mechanic but I added two pictures of the back left (facing car) engine corner. The "black box" sitting there is being held by only one clip because the other two broke. Could air be sneaking in through there? I believe the a/c fan is in the opening behand the black box.

Congratulations on your c63. You will get a lot more help if you post this in the W204 c63 forum. If you have a 2009, you have the previous body style. This is the W205 forum. Our cars just started being delivered. Our cars are completely new and different, and to make it worse, most of us have only had our cars a couple of weeks.


However, there is a wealth of accumulated info and help in the W204 forum.

Previous model (pre-2015) with the M156 engine. W205 is the current (new) model with the M177 biturbo engine. As mentioned above, most people here either just received their cars or are still shopping/awaiting delivery.

Only poor people fart. It's the non organic food and the gluten and they are also deficient in minerals only found in San Pellegrino water.

I once expressed a concern to my detail guy that a very skanky chick had sat in my passenger seat with no panties. He said he had had this issue before with other clients and he recommended a light steam.

Dupont leather protection package

Dupont is a great product to use. HOWEVER, it cannot be applied to the suede on the seats! It does not work well. I have sold it on many vehicles especially with White Interiors.
