I've owned a lot of cars over the years but never really seen an MB that I lusted for. They're lovely cars, utmost quality of construction and reliability but from an "it" factor perspective they just never really did it for me. Last week I was driving along the beach and passed my local dealer and they had a C63 507 Edition sitting out and I absolutely loved the look. Pulled in and took it for a test drive and was hooked! Went back and forth with the sales guys for a few days and finally agreed on terms on Tuesday and I took delivery yesterday. It's such an awesome car, so much fun to drive. Been reading a lot here the past week or so and learning as much as I can. Already ordered some clear reflectors to get those awful orange ones off the front and trying to decide on an exhaust for a little more volume without being overly obnoxious. Anyway, here's a couple pics and I look forward learning more here!
This is for the fancy pants w205 guys who have forced induction to get them from A to B. Guys like me brag about my N/A noise in the link provided. See you there!

lol damn it I was browsing through different forums in different tabs and posted in the wrong one!! Sorry
lol sure, though I don't really have any good pics of it on my laptop. It's a Mas GranTurismo MC. I use the first pic as the desktop wallpaper on my computer haha
That Maserati is so good looking. Which sounds better? Good luck with that internal battle, and no, I won't take "it's a tie."
Thanks!! The GT sounds better hands down, and that's not a slight against the MB in the least. I think the GT is my fav sounding car I've ever heard. The MC's exhaust is absolutely amazing in sport mode under acceleration and the burble and rasp on downshifts is absolutely sublime. I really do love the exhaust of the MB as well and I'm sure with a cat-back even it will open up a bit more sound. I need to research it a bit and find something that's going to give me the sound when I want it and not when I don't lol! Here's an video I made of the MC just after I got it comparing the exhausts modes after a couple people on the Maserati forums asked about it. The first 3:30 or so is with the interior mic, from 3:30 on is with the exterior mic.
Nice! I was going to the dealership for a 507 W204 right before I switched to a the W205.
That 507 is very nice. Very aggressive. They got the W204 right!
What was the setup you were using to get the exterior noise with interior camera?
off topic -- sweet sleeve. I've got about 1/3 of my right arm done (black and gray) with another appointment in two weeks to make that 2/3rds.
Also - you said you need to research exhausts. I'll save you from the grumpy old farts who have been here for forever and an a day.. Do a secondary cat and resonator delete. LTH's are pretty loud and require some tuning to avoid CELs and jazz like that. However, secondary cat / res delete doesn't require tuning, no CELs, and definitely livens things up a bit. Just post any other questions you may have that pop up here and I'll check back in and provide threads / links for more details if you want. (Don't get a catback)

I used my GoPro with a $7 20' mic I got off amazon. Just ran the wire out the window and clipped the mic to the license plate frame. That was about the best position I could find that picked up the exhaust with little to no extra wind noise.
Thanks, I just sat for 7 hours Tuesday and had my chest done. Wearing the seatbelt in the C63 has been a monumental pain in the *** (chest) lol!
With regards to the exhaust, that's exactly what I had in mind to be honest I just didn't know how friendly that would be as far as CELs and whatnot. Like I said I love the way the car sounds and don't necessarily want an entirely different sound, I'd just like to bring it to life a little. It's very pedestrian compared to the MC and my truck and bikes haha! I appreciate the input. When you guys have pulled the secondary cat and res do you just have a shop weld up a straight pipe section or are there companies selling something to replace it? On an Aston I had in the past there was a company(s) selling $1200 "delete kits", after seeing some pics on the forums I had my local shop make me the same thing for $48 lol!!
