Anyone has a summer car besides the C63?
I always had a summer car since '99.
Last summer I sold both my 996TT (summer car) and my Volvo XC60 (work/family car) to buy a C63. I figured that having a car that does it all (family and fun) would be more financially responsible. And it was, I put the money from my sold 911 for retirement. The C is very fun to drive and is a great car.
But I kinda miss having a special car I take during the week ends. The summer toy. The track ready car (even though I haven't track my cars in a couple years).
Looking at a C6-Z06 and wondering if I'm nuts and figured asking other gearheads would shed some light.

Kinda the same boat.
Would love to have the weekend car, for me personally, would love to have an R8 or Aston (James Bonddddd), but financially doesn't make sense.
If it really doesn't affect you so much financially and you have the garage space, go for it.

Z06's are beasts. Eff the new ones, oldschool N/A. If I could afford it I would definitely have one.

i guess its different for people in australia as our weather is decent enough all year round and there isnt a need for winter/summer cars. but as it is, i share some "weekend" cars with my brothers

Yep like minded gearhead will have fun cars besides the C63.
A naturally aspirated Z06 with some mods is one fast car. So cheap to modify as well, nothing comparable with the C63.
If I had more love for a Mustang it could be a great all around car. TRack/drag/street and still carry the family around. But for some reason they don't tickle my fancy all that much.
Will keep thinking about it. But damn a Z06 would like nice in my garage.
