Have you tried the Waze app?

Also nice that it runs in the background if your are streaming music.
In a state like PA where moving radar is prohibited from use by law enforcement this app is about as good as a radar detector for locating parked police and it's great for traffic alerts and notifying of road hazards.
Any down fall I'm missing ?

The other great thing about it is that the Nav portion is awesome at rerouting around traffic constraints. A few times it gave me what I thought were "odd" directions and I come find that it knew about accidents or other route slow downs that I wasn't aware of and automatically took me a different way to save me time. Pretty slick.
It alone has probably saved me from at least 30-40 tickets from either active police, stationary radar units, or light cameras. And...its FREE.....best app ever

Anyways, the only real flaw I see with this app is that if you're on the road by yourself, then it almost becomes useless since it's a "peer-to-peer" app, and without people reporting things, then it doesn't really do anything for you.
Two tips:
In Sound Settings:
Turn on Prefer Bluetooth to announce through the car radio (works on earlier models also... ie my 2009)
You can change "Voice Language" to other voices.... including the Terminator!
The only thing that creeps me out is that it tracks your car and speed at all times.............. good thing I don't speed.

WAZE works because people report things. Do your part to make it good. If the app shows an alert about something ahead, give it a thumbs up or a thumbs down as you go by.
Is anyone using the Passport app? It includes a feature that automatically posts an alert if your radar detector goes off for Ka (and also K band?) alerts.
