Eurocharged V5 on a P31

Stock whp/tq vs. Tune?
Beyond tuning where else can I get mods.?
I'm having a hard time finding parts to modify a coupe
I am not sure of what your looking for to modify your car. I own a 2012 P31 coupe and there is a TON of info available on this forum. Just spend a few hours reading. Most performance parts are the same.. There is nothing special about the coupe for performance parts and 99% of parts that fit 4 door fit the coupe.

Hard to find parts? This is just one big joke and waste of time. Get a C63 first. Then try using the search button - there are a million threads on all of this.

I just bought a 2012 P31 out of North Carolina and it's back at the dealer now getting CPO'd so I can extend the warranty
I have found a few mods here and there but if I search online all I find is people who have modified their exhaust by removing resonators and secondary cats and air filters
I come from the Japanese market and have been tuning cars for nearly 20 years (yes I'm 35)
It doesn't seem real that a full exhaust for a sedan will fit a coupe?
When I look my Garage Talk app below is what I see in engine performance with no ability to change the page and the newest ad is from February of this year.

We don't get to choose from 100 different turbo setups or anything like that.
A lot of people buy a used c63 and then come in here asking how to put a wide body kit on it and their plans about a weistec s/c application.
Maybe if you tell us your budget we can tell you what you're limited to. But mostly, you're looking at a tune w/ intakes and a secondary cat / res delete. Probably the most common route right there unless you get long tubes.

By trade I'm physician however my passion has always been cars. So much that I recently invested into obtaining a used car dealers license as a side business to be able to buy and sell cars quicker just to play with them for a while then jump ship without much loss and get something different.
First car on my list - C63 coupe
More recently I have moved from drag strip to road course.
Currently I have a 2000 NSX modified with wheels, brakes, suspension, I/H/E, clutch and flywheel with other weight reduction mods.
I was looking for the same here. But I don't want to spend crazy money if I'm going to sell the car in 6 months to a year
I was looking for a bolt on cat/res delete and an intake system that wasn't $3000 in carbon fiber.
Wasn't trying to troll

as far as how much gains the ec gives on a p31. im going to assume it ends up about the same ballpark as a non p31 car. the gains are less, the end result the same
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
Tune is most common and good for 30-50hp.
Mike here on forum sells secondary cat delete. Great guy and part. Gain maybe 5-10 hp but better sounding also. He also sells resonator delete but you will get drone and it gets pretty loud.
ROW air boxes are common but it's a 25% chance or so you will get check engine for lean condition when a tune is also installed. Also you can pull carbon air filters but also engine codes are common for lean. In addition gains are minor, maybe 5hp.
Past that is all looks. Coilovers or springs. H&R are less expensive and more basic and KW v3 are the top end.
The guys here get tired of answering the same questions over and over. Just take an evening and start reading all the threads from the last year and you will have all your answers.

I think what I'll start with is the secondary cat delete if it's a bolt on. I don't want to cut the exhaust at a shop
You proved my point as well
There isn't much to do beyond an ecu flash, headers/exhaust and minor suspension
Without a S/C

Start with an ECU tune. Tons to choose from and all perform very similar as far as gains go.
Exhaust, I personally cut out my rear resonators and put straight pipes in, that's the only mod I have and I think it sounds great. If you want more down the road, any long tube header option will be adequate for some extra power and a ton of sound.
Beyond that, filters, ROW boxes and you're pretty much done unless you want a blower.
My honest opinion, get some KW V3's, a lightweight wheel set, some 2 piece rotors and shed some of the unsprung weight. It makes a major difference in every driving aspect of these cars.
If you have any questions, feel free to reach out! I've done just about everything to these, mild to pure insanity and everything in between.
Enjoy in good health
I'm sure with a good dyno tune you can squeeze more whp from the stock p31.

I ran around 430whp with ECV5 with row boxes only before any other mods..basically the same HP Eric put down ..so extremely realistic ..you do realize a pulley adds 10-15whp / custom tune another 20-30 whp / fully de-catted is probably another 5-15whp ...so yeah it adds up if you can understand basic mathematics
You live in NYC...and you expect your car to run good? The east coast is probably the worst place to own a N/A car ..the air quality is complete **** and don't even lie, I've been to NYC in the summer, it smelt like a rat crawled inside a couple asses and died. So imagine a car taking in the same air, and you guys wonder why #'s are low

maybe try taking a drive by the ocean once in awhile and actually see how different a N/A car performs vs in the city where theres 500,000 other cars with 500000 other things going on, you people obviously don't think and assume a car should run the same anywhere on the planet..stupidity at it's finest.
Why do you think most cars are going turbo besides MPG? Because they are consistant right accross the board.
I know for a fact 80%+ of people with a OFS tune have whack AF ratios and don't even know it. You never hear of people talking about the car running lean or rich...Uhhh Hurrr durrrrr thats how power gets increased or decreased, it's always some dumb stupid **** like "Tune didnt adapt! i gotta drive for 1500 km before i notice the tune!" no you don't..people on this forum are just mentally retarded.
You guys want more power then tell the tuner to lean car out, you want less power...tell them to run it a lil rich this stuff is common sense

..If anything it knocks off a few miles from it's life...and i already linked a few threads from 2010-2012 where several members netted 20-30WHP more from a custom tune, I myself netted just under 20whp , Same way not every AMG engine will dyno 1:1 ..one may run 5whp less, one may run 20 more. It's been proven COUNTLESS times. Even EC openly admited they run their tune a bit lower for realibility ..guess their full of **** too eh ...not my fault no one wants to look into tweaking their AF ratios and other stuff that can gain power. Go on, Enjoy your mass marketed stuff.
You guys seriously think EC and every tuner puts a car in EVERY city and tuned the AF ratios for that area? God no, They give a general stable AF ratio that works but hardly pushes the limits of the engine. You people really think their going to push the limits? No, They have to deal with stupid a$$ customers as is, if the tuners pushed harder then they risk stuff breaking (or knocking) and then having to deal with warranties etc, they don't want to deal with that crap.
