Strange happening driving in rain
So I got stuck today for 5 minutes in the rain. No big deal, car gets washed anyways... However, as I'm driving along it starts to sound like I'm running open headers, like wtf? No joke, it just sounds like an open dump exhaust right beneath my seat. No cels, lights, nothing. I ease it home and it quiets right down like nothing ever happened.
Thoughts? Extremely weird...

Did you look around to see if any muscle cars, straight pipes exotics, etc were around you? Once in my S4 I all of a sudden began feeling the same thing in traffic, though my exhaust fell off. Realized that 2 cars to the right of me was a straight piped Murcielago shaking the pavement.

Nope, just me. And it was exactly like that. I had the radio up and everything and I just noticed the car getting loud. So, I turned down the radio and took a listen. Then it sounded like I opened effing cutouts below me.

I'll definitely keep an eye on this.
Honestly though, made me really want long tubes haha!

mine does something similar in the rain. If I hit a puddle or it’s just raining heavily it will start to drone really loudly from the passenger side. Have never been able to diagnose it, but my theory is the cold water hitting the exhaust causes it to contract a bit and the exhaust is making contact with something under the car.
