New Owner in Houston
I just picked up a 2013 C63 as an upgrade from my 2009 C350. Are there any owners in Houston that go on cruises or anything like that? Would love to meet some fellow owners and check out modifications that they have done to help influence my long list of upgrades. Also, I'm somewhat new to Houston and would love advice on any shows or meet-ups that happen in town too.
Looking brand new after paint correction. Brent did an amazing job.

Congrats, and welcome!
I recommend a stop EC for sure, I made sure to go last time I was there myself. Speaking of, I'll be spending all next week in Houston again, making the boring drive down from Dallas early Monday morning.

Will do, just bought a a WaveTrac LSD from Vivid -- btw, can you pm me with a quote or estimate on installing the WaveTrac? You guys do that, right? Either way I expect to stop by not long after installing it to dyno and do the tune.

The good thing about that drive is that there's some serious open road...

Also, have you done any other modifications? I would love to hear how various exhaust upgrades affect sound.
I think I will hold off on the dyno for now and see how much of a difference I can feel. If I start to make further modifications than I will get a dyno.

CLS550 owner from Houston. Congrats on the new ride. The monthly "show" here is Cars & Coffee. I believe it's either the 1st or 2nd Saturday of every month. I can't remember. If you check out the Cars & Coffee Houston website it has the dates & location for the meet. I haven't been to one yet, but I plan to once I get a few more mods done. Welcome.

How do you do on gas for the longer drives like that? I read somewhere that the tune actually improves your gas mileage (assuming you don't stomp it every chance you get). Is there any truth to that?

If you'd like to hear my exhaust, I'd be happy to meet up with you next week sometime. I'm coming down Monday morning for work, and usually done by 5PM each day, and there until Friday afternoon. Not sure where I am staying yet, but I'll PM you my cell #.

I agree with both the mpg numbers and the comment about speed. On interstates around Houston where traffic runs about 70, my dash is showing about 20. On runs out west where traffic is running 20 mph faster, it's typically showing closer to 17. Add hills or a still headwind and, well, I didn't buy this thing for the gas mileage. . . Make it a 2-lane where you are passing frequently at WOT and you'll find that the gas mileage REALLY sucks, but you'll be having too much fun to care.
It's worth noting that the mpg data the car reports isn't particularly accurate. Several users have reported that it is optimistic by about 10% and my checks over more than a dozen back-to-back tanks of gas showed the same. Your dashboard's 20-22 mpg is probably more like 18-20.
