Worlds Greatest Drag Race 5

The only time I've run my C63, I went with a friend and his bone stock, stick C7 Z06. That car was awe inspiring. He ran a 11.4 @129 and the track prep was seriously lacking. I was very happy with my 12.5ish totally stock, but the Z06 was just crazy fast.

The C7 is fast, but might be the biggest pile of junk I have ever driven. 2 laps at Seca and it goes into limp mode. Cool down 20 min, limp mode after half a lap. Only way to fix that is an aftermatket ECU that voids the warranty as the car gets hot in too many areas not including the engine. GM has no plans to fix that. Also had some small pebbles from the track hit the bumper, and it caused peeling of the paint. Just can't imagine why anyone would buy that car with all these problems.

Exactly. I would love to buy an American sports car. But the vette has been saddled with poor engineering, terrible interiors, poor fit and finish, cheap plastic inside and out. I do not consider the vettento be even a decent car. If you go on the vette forums, the C7 has so many issues that new owners are pissed and rightfully so. Its going down as the worst vette yet, and thats saying something. Till then, i would only buy European cars and German cars. Call me a snob, but I like quality in a car.

C63 AMG 507 Edition
What I found amazing about this race, is that the GT4 was able to keep up with a W205 C63 in a quarter mile! (I say this as a new GT4 owner). I thought the C63 would smash it to the quarter. All I can think of is loss of traction and too much weight.

As a non GT4 owner, I envy you!!! Sick car!

I also wonder how different it'd be if the drivers switched cars and repeated the race 9 times...

#1 From everything I've read the vette has serious problems.
#2 The Bentley I'm sure is outside my price range. (Yup, I checked and it definitely is)
#3 The GTS would be my pick if I had to buy one of these cars - Obviously I'm slighlty biased
#4 the CTS-V seems to not have the issues the vette does, but I wonder I wouldn't want one.
#5 C63s sedan put up a nice run and would be my 4 door pick here
#6 The GT4 put up a good fight and would be my pick for a track car under $100k (USA).
The rest are also-rans.
I just wish they ran an E63s wagon (~11.7 should put it at #4)
