extreme case of it. lol, never realized until my tire went flat today. getting a new set of 4 tires. how do i fix this? alignment?
this is my passenger side rear tire. the rest are like this too, just not as bad.
I'm not a tire pro but it could be over inflation that's causing the middle to wear more. I've had that before. I just asked the tire shop when I saw a similar look on a set of mine.
This is not inflation pressure but camber. I assume the worn part on the right is the inside?
The fix for that is to corner the car more often and harder to even out wear between inside and outside. :-)
And check your tires more frequently by bending down and looking across the width from outside to inside. You do not want a tire to blow out when going fast.
Agree that this is from camber. If I recall correctly, you are lowered, right? You will need to install some camber plates/bolts to remove some camber in order to get the tires the wear more evenly.
Check the toe as well toe out will cause this wear too if that worn out edge is the inside... Combination or incorrect toe and the camber translates into accelerated wear

As long as it will take the shops to get tires in. You can also probably order a set of tires off amazon or tirerack for less money and have them before the end of the week. I ordered my PSS's off amazon and it took them two days to get to me...
However, keep it in C mode and drive it like a prius. I wouldn't stress the spare. That all said, there is a video of chris harris having himself a time in a c63 on 4 spare tires.
Rotating tires is not usually a solution. First, our cars have wider tires in the rear than front. So you cannot truly rotate them, just swap left and right. And if you do so, the inside stays the inside. Plus, that will not work with directional tires. The only thing that could help (assuming directional tires) is to dismount the tires from their rims and swap left and right that way. That can also not be done, if the tires are not directional, but have a dedicated outside/inside.
So, push it faster through corners and wear the outside more that way - at least you'll have fun.

tire rack kills us hawaii guys with the shipping. $50 per tire..sound about right? i found costco to have best prices for PSS.
