Mort I can wait to see your car juiced up in the rear! Lol
So nobody has this kit installed yet state side?
I still think it de-natures slightly the lines of the car particularly when keeping the OEM rear bumper. But that is a great option if you want to mount 300+ wide tires in the back. Good job OP for setting this up

Thanks abcut973, I can't wait either...lol Need red calipers now too.
I agree the lines of the rear will be messed with a little bit but the results will be well worth it. This is sort of an old school mod and I am really liking it. It does not try to incorporate BS themes and only tackles the weak rear fenders and stands on its own. A big set of meats on the rear will benefit the car as well. Can't wait!
The kit deviates slightly from the OEM lines but its the closest aftermarket wide fender kit that is similar to the factory line of a C63 (Non Black Series)
Design wise, since they include "cards" to mate up with the factory side and rear bumper. The lateral lines are some what exaggerated at angles. None the less, I think its a huge difference in how the car looks and functions.
What's more exciting is that difference in the style this kit will be used.
Street car, drag car, show car, track car, etc... I can't wait to see everyone's vision come into reality.
Can't wait to see if these hold up. I definitely want wider rear. I wanted to get in on this group buy but I have family and old work friends in Germany so shipping isn't an issue
Production will start in a few days after the break. I hope everyone is excited as I am and anticipating these fenders! HMS has started prototypes for the 2012+ Coupe version and will be ready soon.

HAPPY NEW YEARS to you as well!
I know I am getting pretty excited about receiving the flares as well. The anticipation is building! Trying my best not to climax early...lol
I don't know about you guys but I'm constantly thinking of wheel / tire combos.I'm sure I'll be doing the exact same thing over and over again once the flares arrive.
Can't believe I'm doing this... but let me know if there's another batch being ordered. Also, what's the deposit amount on this?
I feel the exact same way. I was actually relieved the group buy was over. Now that there's a possible second group buy, I'll be conflicted all over again.
I'm not surprised if we can get a 2nd order together.
I think a lot of people were worried in regards to the wheel fitment and everything. Once that gets ironed out, I'm sure it won't be too difficult to find 7 people.
That being said, those who are considering running 285/295/305/315, they don't make them in the correct "size" for our C63s. They don't have a 25 Series 19" Tire for the 285/295/305.
Which means the tire will be quite tall, and your speedo will be off.
To get the proper size, you have to size up to a 20" Wheel unfortunately. But I'm awaiting results!
To Phil and Ernst.
Phil how much do you think the speedo would be off with a 305/30/19 I thought that would be in the correct size to not make it off.
Phil how are you getting 275s on the front with out rubbing?
You should run 245/35/19 on a 19 x 9 and a 295/30/19 on a 10.5 rear. The extra width up front and rear will help keep the bulge down. The difference is only 6mm and your speedo will be off by 0.5 MPH.
To run a 305 tire:
You should run 255/35/19 on a 19 x 9 / 9.5 (KW Clubsport or K-Mac camber plates) dial in some negative camber (Not Oni-kan) but a respectable amount for wheel/tire clearance and better rotation in the front. For the Rear, the 305/30/19 should match up well and the difference is only 6mm and your speedo will be off by 0.5 MPH. For the rears you can run 10.5/11/11.5"
Not a huge difference in the amount of width and tire size you gain from doing this. HMS Tuning's track car runs 255 (19x8.5) / 285 (19x10) with almost no negative camber and medium offset +35 front. With a 9/9.5" wide front you can keep the 255 front bulge down.
There are so many set ups you can run. Normally since the C63 front fenders (Non BS) are decently sized, you can get away with a little more than the standard 8.5" wide (235/245) with camber plates. You just have to stick with the tire you want and play around with wheel width / offsets so everything balances out. Also keep in mind of the wheel face to make sure they clear factory brembo brakes. Most wheel companies have a guide to measure out the clearance so you don't hit the calipers.
