Depending on when this goes down, if there is a second group buy and shipping to canada is possible I would be interested.

I'm glad the interest is strong again.

C63 AMG Coupe 2012+ fender kits will be ready sometime in February. I'll keep you guys updated. It is possible to do another group buy if we can fill up another order of 7 again and can ship anywhere worldwide.

I would really like to initiate the actual order after my first shipment comes in. But for testing waters and interest, I'll leave another list below:

Please leave your username, model type and if you need OEM Black series liners.

Out of curious, has anyone asked around for install costs?

Quotes range from two grand on up depending on how you want the install.

I would show a body shop the youtube video of the install on the wagon, its not as hard as they can make it out to be. I will be doing the install myself and posting pictures up of the build to help out.

Nice. I can do the install myself as well minus one thing. The spot welding (seen in video below). How do you plan on tackling this?

Im planning on doing the same as the video except with adding 3M panel adhesive to the metal and doing a anti rust sealant just for extra assurance. I'm not planning on smoothing the new panels to the body as every car I've seen with that done seems to crack over time.

Gotcha - thanks for the info. But I'm assuming your still going to do the spot welding right? Is this something your going to have a shop do or do you have all the tools to do this yourself?

I'll be doing all this by myself and depending on the gap in the metal once cut I may just use the seam glue as that stuff is stronger than a weld "depending on what one you use" if we do weld a friend is going to do that part then just use a seam sealer over the weld there really is a few approaches one can take. I may just have to do a video or something besides pictures to help out.

Awesome. I plan to do everything myself as well. If one does DIY, I'm thinking the whole project can be done for roughly $3k.

I'm thinking painting the pieces should cost, what a grand at the absolute max? Not exactly a ton of surface area... Then the misc expenses of seam sealer, grinder wheels, etc. which is probably not much more.

Pictures and a video would be absolutely amazing!

Any one planning to run 305s? I was wondering if anyone has experience with a tire this size on a C63 or just in general. Will they tram-line or have any other characteristics that my not be ideal to the feel or operation of the car. How will they work and feel at high speed? I am sure they will have great traction but may cause the car to understeer a bit more.

There are several ways to seal the metal. HMS Tuning uses only sealant. Some people have spot welded it. As long as it's sealed and fully coated you won't run into any oxidation issues.

You should paint them first before you adhere them to the quarter panels. BASF (Glasurit) or any Mercedes OE approved paint is fine. Material cost of paint supplies will be costly but you'll have a lot of extra. I would recommend a body shop to paint match your factory door/rear bumper color. That would be the most cost effective and smart way if you plan to install them yourself.

If/when I do get my hand on a set of these, I plan to do everything besides the paint work. My plan is to have the car at the body shop for some time while to paint match, then leave all of the pieces there to be sprayed and pick them up a couple of days later to get started on the install myself.

On another note, if anyone that was in the first group buy for some reason wants out, I'm 100% down to pay you right here and now for them. Long shot, I know, but the offer is out there.

+1. If anybody wants to back out, I'd be interested too.

Guess I can turn my 19x10 P40SCs into coffee tables, haha.

Good going. Hope to see a few more members with wider fenders in the future.

Have ideal wheel specs been figured out yet?

Since we can only run 19x9 in the front, I'm think 19x11 is the biggest in the rear? Anything wider would just yield too big of a difference front to rear?

I'm thinking 19x8.5, 19x10. Ugh. If I can even get my hands on a set... Need more for the second GB!

It boils down to what set up you plan on using your car for.

This is a first for C63 owners venturing into low offsets and larger tires. So it's all new.

The beauty of these fenders are the tons of possibilities of different set ups you can run. If you want big tire all around, stick with 8.5/9 fronts and 10/10.5 rear. For anything bigger than 295, such as a 305 etc. I would run 11/11.5 to bring the sidewalk bulge down on such a large tire, but now the fronts would need to match the rear bias. I've seen 9.5 done in the front but it all depends on the tire and offset.

Best way to break it down is stuck to a tire size you want to run and work with the widths and offset to balance it all out.
