C63 Lease - buy out
Really need some advice! thx in advance
Close to the end of my 3 year lease, 2013 C63 Sedan fully loaded. Paying 1000$/mo for 15K miles/yr lease. Lease ends in March 2016.
Thought I would move on to a different less expensive car, but Man! this car is addictive. Having a hard time letting go. Have not driven the new 2016 C63 but had a chance to see one at the dealership, definitely better looking interior but the exterior is so so. Also I think this will be one of those few magnificent NA engines out there ...and the turbo's no matter how well they are made, will not match the experience of riding a V8 NA engine.
Lease 'buy out' for my C63 is going to be close to 41K at the end of my lease. I guess I would have spent close to 36 + 41 = 77k !! to own this monster.
Any experience owning a C63. What to expect down the line. Maintenance problems and such. Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Ohh I have only around 30k miles on the car and left with 16k more to burn!

2014 Edition 507 C63 AMG
I just bought my 2014 C63... and have payments for 5 years. I'm betting on the "NA V8 experience" that this car will maintain its value (albeit after some initial depreciation). Kind of like the NSX and Supra.... maybe not. I still love the car and hope to own it for a while unless the repairs start to become unreasonable. I'm estimating that I only drive the car 5,000 miles per year.

I vote to move on. The M156 is nice, but there are plenty of new cars to try. The point of leasing is to walk away hassle free.

think of it this way, it's 41K + extended warranty, unless you like to live dangerously.
before making a decision take a look at the prices on low mileage 2014s out there, you'll be surprised how close they are to your payoff.

Buyout is normally the last choice but if you go that route don't consider the number fixed. The price is negotiable even though they won't say that.
I did this once; already had another car lined up for me and they dropped the buyout price by 25%

You are way under mileage, see if Carmax offers you more than the buyout so you can make some money back and lease/buy something else.

I did not know that buyout is negotiable. Good info, thanks.
