Best pads for OEM discs (2-piece)
Best pads for OEM discs (2-piece)
Car: 2009 C63 With Performance Pack
I'll be ordering a pair of front OEM discs. However, I was looking at alternative pads to go with them instead of OEM pads.
My only option I've seen thats decent is the Ferodo DS2500 pads.
advice needed.
Thanks.

I've been using stock, but I'm 100% street only. No problems here. They do dust a lot, as you probably know, but I actually like the look of dirty wheels.
I had them on my E46 M3 and they were tolerable. We need more aggressive pads on this car not less. Plus, the brake feel on the ceramics is slightly reduced compared to OE or Porterfield/Endless MX72 pad.

If you want good performance, dust is not a problem, and you may go on a track day, then there is no reason not to stick with OEM (which are Brembo)

For what it's worth, I have a set of Porterfield R4S front & rear brake pads available if you want to try them. Paid $375 shipped from LPI Racing, and they are ~25% used. Asking $175 shipped in Continental US.
Got identical setup on wife's CLS500 and a little better than S class but still not that great.
I also heard good things about R4S from tuning shop specializing in mercedes.
I understand pads on a performance car like this inherently are going to be dustier than normal, but can anyone comment on brake dust from the Porterfield R4S vs stock? More, less, same? Thanks!

Don't. This car is WAY to heavy for a ceramic pad. I shouldn't say don't because it is, however, your car, but I definitely wouldn't.

had them on my old clk and my curret e. slight slight slight slightly reduced braking power but nearly no dust compare to oem... keeps wheels clean for a lot longer.
You are going to have dust, less than OEM pads (i want to say 40% less). The RS4 gives off a brown/red-ish hue.
