Good luck man, keep us posted.
I decided to use the Fiat 199a colour. I painted one rear caliper and while it looks very nice, if I'm being ****, I think the Volkswagon one above would have been a more original shade.
I saw a tester of Guards Red at the paint shop and it was too bright for my liking.
I'll post pics over the weekend.

I've attached an image below of a swatch from my local paint shop, which you guys will find handy - from left to right:
Spooky, right? The pic by Alex-r-1 of the VW paint shows it to be a near perfect match, but according to the swatch above, it's much brighter than the picture would suggest, almost like a cherry hue![nix](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/nixweiss.gif)
I'm quite happy with how mine has come out with the Tiziano Red, but it's definitely brighter than oem by 2 shades I'd say.I need to clean my car and apply the decals etc, so no pics for you guys just yet
- so glad I did it though. Brighter than oem or not, my tired calipers were letting the car down, so these are a lovely improvement (although they will probably barely get noticed in the daily duties of the car )
- Tiziano Red
- Laserrot Red
- Guards Red

Some pics for you guys. I still haven't subscribed to a photo sharing service yet after the Photobucket fiasco, so I'll have to embed them here on the forum post.
This post shows how bad my driver caliper was, then the key over to dull the surface, primer and then paint.
My paint shop insisted that I used etch primer before regular primer. I followed their recommendation.
The paint itself was mixed as a 2k paint (the requested paint code and then lacquer into a single mixture).

And todays progress - if you noticed some imperfections on the last pics, they were caused by the uneven surface from now taking off the original decals. I wasn't concerned with that because I wanted something of a guide to show me exactly where the oem decals should sit, which I was able to see up close.
Pics here are with the decals applied and then two coats of clearcoat on top. My gun's spray pattern was a bit odd today...I think I need to clean it internally, but needless to say, I'm very happy with how they've come out overall. Colour and finish is reasonable and I saved myself a few hundred bux from not having to get it done at a spray shop![Wootrock](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/wootrock.gif)
(the last pic of the rear caliper looks like it's got some surface issues, but after checking it after the photo was taken, it must have just been a weird reflection.
Before anybody asks me which paint code I used without reading it stated above, I used 199A
(and yes before any smarty-pants tries to highlight the overspray, i cleaned it all off easily with paint thinners and 303)

I bought them from an eBay seller in the UK, but I'm sure there will be somebody selling them over on your side of the pond. This was the listing that I purchased from:

I've attached some final pics of my car with the decals and wheels on from this evening. I'm happy in the sense that they look oem and tbh that's what this whole thread is about...getting the right colour match to restore our tired, pretty calipers![thumbs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
Go fourth guys...![drive](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/driving.gif)
edit: yes I'll be deburring the rear wheel nuts to freshen them up again back to silver
