Meth injection
#26
Meth is not like nitrous, aside from it burns cooler than fuel.
I have used meth on my 335 and it is widely used on many platforms.
I dont see a downside on this platform aside from integration. We need a tuner to step up and tune specifically for meth injection in order to reap the full benefit of the added octane.
Aem has some decent kits and most of the kits available on the market can be installed without a specific tune but aside from running cooler and potentially keeping the intake and valves clean like it does in most FI DI motors we wont be taking advantage of the performance aspect.
For you supercharged guys, it could be substantial.
Aem
Aquamist
Cooling mist
Snow performance
Just to name a few companies who offer reasonable kits.
On the m156 in sure a twin nozzle setup before the throttle bodies would be adequate but i would rather a tuner who works with meth often to make those decisions.

I have the Eurocharged v7 on the car and reached out to Jerry to understand whether a retune would be necessary in case of addition of water methanol and he said no. Not sure if Methanol would help realize the full benefit of V7 or only help keep the intake temperatures down only adding a few horses as a result. Anyone with a tuned car subsequently adding methanol? please chime in

fully converting to e85 will be a better investment powerwise.
if injecting meth...don't...inject e85 with that same kit. same effect lower cost. methanol and ethanol are both alcohol's.

how much does race gas cost in Dubai?...sticking with a single fuel system will give you repeatability and reliability. i agree somewhat about the previous comment about meth injection...don't tune for it...turbo boys mainly use it for cylinder cooling through phase change. this is the safest method of utilizing meth injection as i'm sure you don't have a standalone computer with dual injection functionality. this will allow you to add an additional injector to each intake runner for even distribution and control. additionally, shut off switches can be enabled which would prevent map switching or blending if your secondary fuel is empty.
