And it's gone...
I have been driving w204 C63 AMG's as my DD's since 2010. Today I finally said good bye to my beloved 2009 C63 AMG and took a last set of pictures with the replacement DD.
I have to say the ownership of the w204 C63 has been memorable. Before it was released, I had fallen in love with the new C63 and in 2008 I placed a deposit during the first batch of cars. My car came in, but I ended up taking my deposit back to get a different vehicle. However, I really still wanted one and waited until 2010 to buy a 2008 C63 which I enjoyed for a couple of years. Unfortunately, in 2012 I was involved in a head on accident with another vehicle which totaled the 2008, and my insurance pay out helped me land my second C63, a 2009 with LSD, sans top speed limiter, upgraded rotors and suspension. Other than an antennae failure(that was replaced under warranty), the car has been solid. What a wonderful car to have been able to own!
Bye Bye AMG...I promise you someday I will be back!

Congrats on enjoying the C63
And also congrats on the new purchase! You'll appreciate the "fuel economy" now

Please keep us posted on how you like the Tesla. It is a big change but it's also a very intriguing car. I know I would be interested to get your thoughts after a few months of ownership

...of course you had to switch...you live in the bay area. All the pressure to drive a prius, hug trees, and to be green got to you.
Were you getting mean looks when you pulled up to your hipster cafe from all the bearded faux lumberjacks wearing skinny jeans, beanies and parted hair?
Enjoy...

My car came out when Insane mode was the the highest speed upgrade. I received the P85D with insane...and then 2 days later the P90D was released to the public. Kind of like receiving your new iphone6 and then the 6plus comes out-ha ha. Fortunately those of us that bought p85D's with insane-within 6 months of announcement of p90 ludicrous-have received a 50% discount on retrofitting Ludicrous mode. There was a long waiting list for the retro upgrade, as each Tesla service center performs approximately one upgrade/week. I have my Ludicrous upgrade scheduled for May 30,2016. If analogies are in order, it's kinda like getting a 2009 C63 with P30 and then you are able to add the p31 later, well, sort of...

Unlike anything that I have ever had-a game changer for sure...I was not a Tesla fan at all when normal model S models including the single motor P versions, but when they came out with the dual motor P85D, everything changed. It is so smooth, so fast, for a large car-a very low center of gravity. You can electrically choose comfort, normal, or sport for steering feel, jumping on the gas will change your life. It acclerates faster than any exotic Ferrari, maclaren, Porsche, that I have ever driven, and I have 7 seats in mine. Autopilot and Summons are out of this world features that take semi autonomous driving jumps. I am, and always appreciate really driving cars-but the Tesla will make easier all the mundane driving tasks like highway traffic at speed or bumper to bumper-with no effort at all...a wonderful car for sure...

The model s is intriguing for sure, on a whim I made a model3 reservation but after looking at it I could never drive it so I'm trying to get my reservation cancelled....ain't easy I tell ya
I think it's model s or bust for me, every time I see one I'm amazed how large and spacious they are

Trust me guys...I once felt exactly like this...no sound, no manual transmission, no clutch pedal, etc., "no go". However, test driving a p85D Insane/Ludicrous or p90D Ludicrous and its hyperspace acceleration/torque and 1.0 g's is an experience that will gnaw at you until you put your deposit down. There is no intake/engine/or exhaust should, but there is an addictive high pitch "wrrrrrrrr" as your eyeballs are sucked back into your eyesockets!
I am not "dissing" the feel of a C63 AMG, as I think it is a wonderful car that is pure joy when taking it to speed. It is a whole different experience that all of us love...
