Flaccid door handle
I was opening my driver door yesterday. The door opened and the interior handle went limp on me. Now the door handle flops around and no longer opens the door. I have to roll the window down to get out. Anyone have this happen? I assume its a simple linkage that came undone, but I am hoping for a little more insight before I take the door panel off.
Thanks!

That sucks. I believe there's a metal rod that attaches to a plastic piece on the latch, maybe that cracked. Did you use any undue force on the interior handle lately?

I have a temporary fix.
Step 1: Get some Viagra
Step 2: Ground it down and add some water to make a paste.
Step 3: Slather on door handle.
Your door handle should be nice and stiff, but if it lasts for more than 4 hours go see your mechanic.

This is a common problem with the ****ty designed door handles in the W204.
Unfortunately, you will have to replace the entire door card to fix it. It happened to me and its a pain in the ***.

I just spoke with the dealership. Apparently this requires and entirely new door panel. Being that I am a handy guy I asked them to fix everything else and put the door panel in the trunk.
Can this really be true? I tiny arm breaks on the door handle and the entire door panel needs to be replaced because of it?
I will post pictures of the fix I come up with.
